The posting

WishQue (Pvt) Ltd, one of Sri Lanka's leading e-commerce and gifting companies, operating across e-commerce, bakery production, floral operations, warehousing, last-mile delivery and sales, is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive /Accounts Executive to join our Finance team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring timely reconciliations and assisting with financial reporting and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day accounting and finance-related activities.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
  • Prepare and verify invoices, payments, receipts and journal entries.
  • Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations.
  • Assist with monthly closing and financial reporting activities.
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Support payroll-related accounting activities and statutory payments.
  • Assist with EPF, ETF, tax and other statutory requirements.
  • Ensure proper filing and maintenance of financial documents.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers and other stakeholders on accounting matters.
  • Assist with audits and provide required financial information and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Part qualification in CA / CIMA or AAT fully qualifications.
  • 2 years of relevant experience for the Accounts Executive position.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience for the Senior Accounts Executive position.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
  • Experience in accounting software; QuickBooks cloud knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
