Job Description

Our client, an established construction group in Singapore, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support tender preparation, contract administration and project cost management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity take-offs, tender pricing, subcontractor evaluations, project budgeting and progress claims.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates and pricing for construction tenders and quotations.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications and tender documents for costing purposes.
  • Obtain, evaluate and compare subcontractors' quotations.
  • Handle contract administration, including preparation of subcontracting and purchasing documents.
  • Prepare, monitor and update project budgets and cost reports.
  • Prepare progress claims and evaluate subcontractor payment submissions.
  • Monitor project expenditure and maintain accurate costing and payment records.
  • Prepare monthly updates on claims, budgets, costs and payment receipts.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and suppliers on commercial matters.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
  • Hands-on experience in quantity take-offs, tender pricing and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of construction budgeting, cost control and progress claims.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with CCS PO/WO Module.
  • Good understanding of cost management and control techniques.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, communication and negotiation skills.
  • ISO Internal Auditor Certification is an advantage.
