Systems Administrator Level 1 or 2

POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • The Technology Services department is responsible for providing and managing the technology needs.
  • Seeking qualified on-site Systems Administrators (Engineers) who will utilize their knowledge, skills, and abilities to install, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot an enterprise compute, storage, and desktop environment including Office 365, Email, Azure, VMware, Windows Sever, SAN/NAS, Backup, File/Print, Anti-virus, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and support projects as required to meet TS goals and objectives.
  • Implement, manage, maintain, and support the System Architecture solutions.
  • Provide 24x7x365 support resolution for enterprise hardware and software as needed.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation.
  • Provide reports and metrics for performance analysis and growth planning.
  • Establish a Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule and execute planned activities.
  • Provide technical and operational guidance to staff and contractors as needed.
  • Work onsite every day (M-F).Perform related duties as directed.

Education Requirement:

  • B.S in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • OR High School Diploma with Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience working in an enterprise infrastructure environment in addition to the time required in the Minimum Qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

1) 1-2 years or more experience with basic deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of:

  • a) Microsoft Server Platformsi) Windows Server 2019 / 2022 OS
  • b) Microsoft Software Servicesi) Windows Desktop OS
  • c) Microsoft Management Servicesi) Active Directory
  • d) Understanding of physical Server hardware and storage conceptsi) Dell PowerEdge, HP Proliant ii) Compellent, Pure Storage, DataDomain
  • e) Familiarity with VMware Virtualization and Management Platformsi) ESXi ii) vCenter iii) vSphere

2) Familiarity with basic deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of:

  • a) Microsoft Server Platforms: Basic Knowledge of Windows SQL Server
  • b) Microsoft Software Servicesi) Understanding of Microsoft 365 User Management ii) Understanding of Defender (or comparable security tools)
  • c) Microsoft Management Servicesi) Some familiarity with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Intune ii) Some familiarity with PowerShell and how it can be used
  • d) Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, exposure to Microsoft Azure Services (Azure AD, basic governance concepts)
  • e) Exchange - online or on prem
  • f) Back up and Recovery solutions - Veeam or similar
  • g) Ability to assist with data center tasks, including rack and stack of equipment
  • h) Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team environmenti) Ability to lift up to 30lbs as part of hardware installation duties

Preferred Qualifications:

  • VMWare vSAN.
  • Wasabi Cloud.
  • Azure Co-Pilot AI.
  • Certificate Authorities.
  • Disaster Recovery Services - testing, planning, and documenting.
  • Working knowledge or experience with the following technologies:o Recast o ManageEngine o ServiceNow o SolarWinds o Adobe
  • General knowledge or experience with information security concepts and practices.
  • General knowledge or experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS).
  • General knowledge or experience with Linux and DevOps technology stacks.
  • General knowledge or experience with Container technology platforms.
  • Basic understanding of emerging technologies and concepts such as AI/ML, IoT,etc.
  • 1 or more Certifications from the following list (or equivalent):o Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert. o Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. o Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate. o VMware Certified Design Expert – Data Center Virtualization (VCDX). o VMware Certified Advanced Professional-Data Center Virtualization Design. o VMware Certified Advanced Professional-Data Center Virtualization Deploy. o VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA). o VMware Certified Specialist – vSAN 2024. o Pure Storage Certified Platform Architect Expert. o Pure Storage Certified FlashArray Storage Professional. o Pure Storage Certified FlashArray Implementation Specialist. o Pure Storage Certified Migration Specialist. o Pure Storage Certified Data Storage Associate. o Dell Certified PowerEdge Operate 2023 Proven Professional. o Dell Certified PowerScale Deploy 2023 Proven Professional. o VEEAM Certified Engineer (VMCE).
