Woodthorpe Primary School is looking for a positive and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to complement the work of teachers and our SENCo by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision.
The role will involve working within our specialist SEND provision with small group intervention work and some 1:1 support for some of our pupils.
The successful candidate must have HLTA status or QTS/QTLS and GCSE qualifications in maths and English at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
You will ideally have some previous experience of working with children with SEND. You will have the skills to work alongside class teachers and our school SENDCo to ensure that children are able to access an ambitious curriculum and make positive progress against their own personal targets.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is calm, caring and consistent in their approach, who is committed to maintaining our high standards and wants to make a difference, and who is willing to 'go that extra mile' to better the life chances of our children.
In return, we can offer a supportive working environment, with colleagues who care deeply, are experts in their fields and who are passionate about what they do.
