The posting

ALTEN México busca integrar a su equipo a Manufacturing Engineers con enfoque en Material Flow & Internal Logistics, para participar en un proyecto estratégico dentro de una operación de manufactura de alto impacto en Mexicali.

Esta posición tendrá un rol clave en la optimización del flujo de materiales, diseño de estrategias logísticas internas y soporte a la expansión de capacidades productivas, contribuyendo directamente a la eficiencia operativa y al crecimiento de la organización.

El ingeniero trabajará de manera cercana con equipos de manufactura, planeación y supply chain para implementar soluciones de clase mundial en gestión de materiales.

Objetivo del Puesto

Diseñar, implementar y optimizar estrategias de flujo de materiales desde recepción hasta línea de producción, asegurando disponibilidad, eficiencia operativa y soporte a los requerimientos de producción.

Responsabilidades Principales:

Material Flow & Process Optimization

  • Analizar y mejorar el flujo de materiales desde almacén hasta producción.
  • Evaluar y rediseñar layouts de almacenamiento y flujo interno.
  • Desarrollar estrategias para optimizar almacenamiento, surtido y distribución de materiales.

Estrategias de Abastecimiento a Línea

  • Diseñar e implementar modelos eficientes de line feeding:
  • Supermarkets
  • Kitting
  • Replenishment strategies
  • Asegurar disponibilidad de materiales en punto de uso alineado a la demanda productiva.

Implementación en Planta

  • Liderar iniciativas de mejora directamente en piso de producción.
  • Coordinar con equipos multidisciplinarios para asegurar ejecución efectiva.
  • Validar procesos y nuevas estrategias en operación real.

Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement

  • Aplicar metodologías Lean para optimización de flujo y reducción de desperdicios.
  • Estandarizar procesos y definir mejores prácticas operativas.
  • Dar seguimiento a indicadores clave de desempeño (KPIs).

Colaboración Interfuncional

  • Colaborar con Planeación, Compras, Logística y Producción para alinear estrategias.
  • Apoyar la implementación de soluciones integradas en ERP (Oracle).

Requirements

Formación Académica

Ingeniería Industrial, Manufactura, Mecánica, Logística o carrera afín.

Experiencia

  • 5–8+ años de experiencia en ingeniería de manufactura, flujo de materiales, logística interna o mejora continua.
  • Experiencia sólida en entornos de manufactura, ensamblaje o producción industrial.
  • Experiencia en análisis, optimización e implementación de flujo de materiales desde almacén hasta línea de producción.
  • Participación y/o liderazgo de proyectos de mejora de procesos, optimización de logística interna y expansión de capacidades productivas.
  • Experiencia trabajando directamente en piso de producción, en entornos dinámicos.
  • Valorable: experiencia en diseño de estrategias de line feeding (kitting, supermarkets, replenishment).

Habilidades Técnicas

  • Conocimiento avanzado de:
  • Flujo de materiales (Material Flow)
  • Operaciones de almacén (Warehouse operations)
  • Estrategias de abastecimiento a línea (Line Feeding, Kitting, Supermarkets)
  • Dominio de Excel (análisis de datos, capacidad, KPIs y seguimiento de desempeño).
  • Experiencia en Lean Manufacturing: 5S, Kaizen, mejora continua, eliminación de desperdicios.
  • Experiencia en balanceo de líneas, takt time y análisis de capacidad.
  • Conocimiento en rediseño de layouts de almacén y flujo interno.
  • Manejo de herramientas de diseño como CREO (deseable).
  • Experiencia con sistemas ERP (Oracle deseable) y TeamCenter.

  • Capacidad de ejecución y toma de decisiones basada en datos.
  • Liderazgo técnico y habilidad para coordinar equipos multidisciplinarios.
  • Excelente comunicación con equipos de manufactura, supply chain y operaciones.
  • Alta orientación a resultados y mejora continua.
  • Adaptabilidad a entornos dinámicos y alta presencia en piso de producción.
