  • Install and maintain servers, network equipment, telecommunications hardware, and cabling.
  • Perform "remote hands" support activities on behalf of customers.
  • Monitor systems, alerts, and operational processes, escalating issues where required.
  • Support Data Centre operations, asset management, and change activities.
  • Assist with incident response and service restoration activities.
  • Build positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Follow security, safety, and operational procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.

  • A genuine interest in technology and how IT infrastructure works.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • A willingness to learn and ask questions.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

What's In It For You?

  • Comprehensive training and development.
  • Real-world experience supporting enterprise technology environments.
  • Exposure to servers, networking, telecommunications, cloud infrastructure, and operational technology.
  • Mentoring from experienced technical professionals.
  • Clear career pathways across Datacom's wider technology business.
  • Opportunities to grow into roles such as:
  • Infrastructure Engineer
  • Network Engineer
  • Systems Engineer
  • Cloud Engineer
  • Technical Specialist
  • Operations Team Lead

Additional Requirements

  • This is a permanent full-time position based in Rosedale, Auckland.
  • Applicants must be New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents due to security requirements.
  • This role includes a rotating roster across day and night shifts.
  • The role may occasionally require working at heights of up to 4 metres and handling cabling or equipment installation activities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
