Position Summary

Pressman Toy Corporation is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will report directly to the Assistant Controller and work closely with colleagues across our international organization.

We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working independently, and interested in taking ownership of assigned accounts payable responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounts payable fundamentals, a willingness to learn new systems, and an interest in improving existing processes through technology and automation.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Processing

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and on time in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, routing them for approval and scheduling payment.
  • Record inventory, shipping, and logistics invoices in partnership with the Logistics team, making sure costs reflect the actual flow of goods.
  • Review, reconcile, and post employee expense reimbursement reports in line with company policy.

Payments & Cash Management

  • Issue vendor payments through the company's banking platform and apply them in Business Central.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card activity and process the related payments.
  • Prepare the weekly cash forecast for management review and approval.
  • Calculate and pay quarterly commissions to external sales representatives.

Vendor Management

  • Onboard new vendors by collecting and verifying required documentation (e.g., W-9s, banking details) and setting them up in Business Central.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with new and existing vendors, resolving billing and payment questions promptly.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable inbox, responding to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders.

Reconciliation, Compliance & Reporting

  • Reconcile the intercompany AP account for inventory received and invoiced.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
  • Prepare and file annual 1099 forms.

Business Partnership & Growth

  • Lead ad-hoc projects tied to management's strategic priorities, analyzing data and providing insights that inform business decisions.
  • Develop an end-to-end understanding of the business and collaborate across departments to improve processes and support growth.

Requirements

  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business, or progress toward one. Equivalent work experience may substitute.
  • Strong computer skills, including working proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Comfortable moving quickly between multiple online portals and systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
  • An analytical mindset and genuine curiosity about data, financial processes, and how the business operates.
  • A collaborative, adaptable approach to working with Finance, Inventory, Supply Chain, and other teams.
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP Concur, or EDI.

Work Arrangement

  • This role is in-office during the training period. A hybrid schedule may be available afterward, by agreement with the hiring manager.
