Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Job Role: Account Manager

Compensation range: $2,000 - $2,500 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: The client is a leading industry association dedicated to fostering collaboration, innovation, and growth across the payments ecosystem in Asia. They bring together banks, fintechs, payment providers, and technology leaders to exchange insights, shape policy, and build trusted networks. Through roundtables, events, research, and advocacy, the organisation plays an important role in advancing the future of payments across the region.

Role Overview: This is a more senior role than a typical VA position. The Account Manager will take ownership of member relationships, build a consistent approach to engaging with members, and identify opportunities to increase their involvement and support membership renewals.

The role involves regular communication with senior people across the payments industry, so strong relationship-building skills, sound judgement, and the confidence to work independently are important.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with existing members, including regular communication and follow-ups.
  • Build a consistent approach to member engagement and identify opportunities to increase involvement and support renewals.
  • Understand member needs, interests, and priorities and follow up on relevant opportunities.
  • Communicate confidently with senior stakeholders across the payments industry.
  • Maintain accurate member records, contacts, and engagement activity in relevant systems.
  • Use Zoho Backstage to manage member and event information, including attendee lists and RSVPs.
  • Support member events, roundtables, and communications as needed.
  • Manage emails, follow-ups, and member enquiries professionally and on time.
  • Use tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, and Asana to manage communication, tasks, and information.
  • Work independently, manage priorities, and make sound decisions without close supervision.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in account management, relationship management, customer success, membership, client services, or a similar role.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with confidence speaking to senior professionals.
  • Excellent written and verbal English.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Good judgement and a professional approach when dealing with members and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Comfortable using CRM, membership, event management, and productivity tools.
  • Experience with Zoho Backstage is an advantage.
  • Experience in payments, fintech, financial services, or an industry association is an advantage.

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
