Job Purpose

The Brand General Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales, marketing, and after-sales operations for the

automotive brands under their portfolio across all associated showrooms, service centers, and parts sales outlets. The role

focuses on driving new car sales, increasing market share, enhancing customer experience, and strengthening relationships

with the represented principals/manufacturers (e.g. Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, Geely, Subaru, or other brand partners as

assigned). The Brand General Manager will ensure the execution of sales and marketing strategies, optimize after-sales

performance, and enhance customer engagement and retention across the assigned brand portfolio, while contributing to

the overall growth and integration of the Automotive Segment.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Sales & Market Growth:

•Develop and execute strategies to increase market share for the assigned brand(s) within the Automotive Segment.

•Oversee sales operations across all showrooms under the assigned portfolio, ensuring targets are met and

exceeded.

•Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to refine pricing, offers, and positioning.

•Strengthen relationships with the relevant principal(s)/manufacturer(s) to ensure effective collaboration, meeting

their standards and expectations.

•Work closely with the sales team(s) to improve lead generation, conversion rates, and overall sales performance.

•Support cross-brand alignment and best-practice sharing across the wider Automotive Segment.

2. Marketing & Brand Positioning:

•Develop and implement marketing campaigns (digital, traditional, and experiential) to boost brand visibility and

customer engagement.

•Ensure each brand under the portfolio is positioned appropriately in the market, in line with its principal's brand

identity.

•Coordinate PR, influence partnerships, sponsorships, and events to enhance brand awareness.

•Manage social media, website content, and CRM to improve brand communication and customer outreach.

3. After Sales & Customer Retention:

•Oversee the performance of service centers and parts sales outlets under the assigned portfolio to maximize

customer satisfaction.

•Develop initiatives to increase customer visits and encourage repeat service bookings.

•Implement customer engagement programs to enhance brand loyalty and retention.

•Ensure high-quality service standards and customer experience across all after-sales touchpoints.

4. Business & Financial Performance:

•Monitor and achieve sales, service, and financial KPIs for the assigned brand(s).

•Optimize inventory management for new cars, spare parts, and accessories.

•Work closely with finance teams to manage budgets, pricing strategies, and profitability targets.

•Provide regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.

5. Cross-Brand & Organizational Contribution:

•Represent the assigned brand(s) in Automotive Segment-level planning and coordination forums.

•Contribute to segment-wide initiatives (systems, processes, talent) beyond the scope of a single brand.

•Act as a flexible, portfolio-level leader able to take on additional or different brands as business needs evolve.

Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

•14+ years of progressive experience in automotive sales, marketing, or after-sales operations.

•At least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role (Brand Manager, General Manager, or equivalent) with P&L

accountability.

•Proven track record managing relationships with international principals/manufacturers.

•Experience overseeing multi-site operations (showrooms and service centers) is required; experience across more

than one brand is an advantage.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
