The posting

African Safari Group (ASG) is a leading luxury travel company specialising in bespoke African travel and safari experiences.

We are looking for an experienced B2C Luxury Travel Consultant – South Africa Specialist to join our growing team.

Professional South Africa luxury travel and/or safari sales experience is an essential requirement.

You will work directly with international clients to design and sell tailor-made South African journeys, combining luxury accommodation, safari, wine, food, scenery, culture and unique experiences.

You should be able to confidently advise clients on different South African regions and build itineraries that combine destinations effectively rather than simply selling individual properties.

This is a direct B2C sales role requiring strong consultation, destination expertise and sales ability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Consult directly with international clients.
  • Design and sell tailor-made South African travel itineraries.
  • Advise clients on destinations, lodges, hotels, experiences and logistics.
  • Combine different regions into seamless itineraries.
  • Prepare and present detailed quotations and itineraries.
  • Manage clients from initial enquiry through to booking.
  • Build long-term client relationships.
  • Handle objections and close high-value bookings.
  • Identify upselling opportunities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of South African properties and experiences.
  • Maintain accurate CRM information.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent client delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year's proven experience in direct B2C sales to clients.
  • Professional South Africa luxury travel and/or safari sales experience is essential.
  • Strong practical knowledge of South Africa as a luxury travel destination.
  • Experience selling high-value travel.
  • Proven ability to consult, upsell and close bookings.
  • Strong destination and product knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • CRM experience.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
  • Genuine passion for South Africa, travel and safari.

Candidates without relevant professional South African travel experience and at least 1 year of direct B2C sales experience will not be considered.
