Dane Street is expanding our physician panel! Dane Street is a leading national Independent Review Organization with a highly robust legal clientele. As our business has expanded, we have an immediate need to add specialized experts to our physician panel to support Texas Counter-Affidavit (Section 18.001) challenges and expert witness requests.

Job Summary

As a Physician Reviewer/Advisor supporting Dane Street Legal Services, you will leverage your specialized clinical expertise in biomechanics, injury mechanisms, and force causation analysis. The expert will directly support the Texas Counter-Affidavit process and must be available to serve as a deposition and trial expert. Experience and expertise in analyzing the application of CPT codes in combination with usual and customary rates (UCR) and state fee schedules—alongside your clinical and biomechanical expertise—is essential.

Requirements

  • An active, unrestricted Texas Medical License.
  • Active Board Certification.
  • Demonstrable expertise, training, or fellowship in biomechanics, injury causation, or collision reconstruction analysis.
  • Prior experience with the Texas Counter-Affidavit process, depositions, and trial testimony is preferred.
  • Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Case Evaluation: On a contract basis as your individual schedule permits, accept cases, review all medical records/accident metrics, and evaluate tissue tolerance and injury causation.
  • Counter-Affidavit Execution: Complete the counter-affidavit process, addressing each clinical question, injury relationship concern, and any charge/fee discrepancy based on standards and norms in Texas practice.
  • Criteria Reporting: Provide copies of any utilized medical necessity criteria or biomechanical guidelines with the report in a timely manner.
  • Deadline Management: Return completed cases on or before the due date and time specified.
  • Legal Support: Perform other duties as assigned, including addressing any necessary clarifications, providing addenda as required (with additional compensation), and responding to client or court questions.

Benefits

  • Robust Opportunity for Supplemental Income: High earning potential with established no-show and late-cancellation fees to protect your time.
  • Schedule Flexibility & Predictable Work Hours: You set your own volume and conduct reviews based entirely on your schedule availability.
  • Advisory-Only Opinions: No doctor/patient relationship is established, and no treatment is provided.
  • Enhanced Industry Expertise: Strengthen your core medical practice with advanced medical necessity, utilization review, and forensic management expertise.
  • Expanded Credentials: Build your CV as a certified expert in Independent Medical Exams (IMEs), forensic biomechanics, and physician advisor services.
  • Full Administrative Backing: Dane Street supports all referral processes, handles scheduling, preps cases extensively, organizes all medical records, provides complimentary transcription services, facilitates all client communications, and ensures the quality and timeliness of all reports and delivery.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
