POSITION OVERVIEW

Graza is looking for a Brand Manager to help drive the growth of our portfolio. This person will own day-to-day brand management for our newest product lines, while playing a leading role in developing and bringing new products within these portfolios to market.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical thinker who is equally comfortable driving execution. They will use Nielsen, retailer, and internal business data to understand performance, identify opportunities, and develop clear recommendations for the business. They will also lead cross-functional innovation projects, partnering closely with Marketing, Sales, Category Management, Creative, Operations, Finance, and external partners to bring new products from concept through launch.

This role offers the opportunity to work across portfolio management, innovation, commercialization, and go-to-market planning, with meaningful ownership over the continued growth of Graza’s emerging product lines.

This role is located in Brooklyn, NY, in-office four days a week, and will report to the Director of Brand Management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Management & Portfolio Growth

  • Own day-to-day brand management for Graza’s newest product lines, including monitoring business performance by retailer and SKU and identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Develop a strong understanding of category performance, competitive activity, retailer dynamics, and shopper behavior to inform portfolio and marketing decisions.
  • Analyze Nielsen, retailer portal, internal sales, and other business data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.
  • Translate data and consumer insights into clear recommendations for portfolio optimization, marketing support, and commercial growth.
  • Maintain the Marketing & Sales calendar across the portfolio, ensuring key initiatives, launches, and retailer activities are aligned across teams.
  • Lead communication of portfolio changes, key initiatives, and business updates across the organization.
  • Support Sales with retailer submissions, sell-in opportunities, and other commercial materials.

Innovation & Commercialization

  • Lead cross-functional development and execution of new flavors, line extensions, and pack sizes, from concept through launch.
  • Bring category, consumer, and competitive insights into innovation development to help identify and size opportunities.
  • Lead go-to-market planning for new product innovation and partner with Marketing to ensure best-in-class plans are developed and executed at launch with ongoing support post-launch.
  • Partner with Category Management to develop compelling sales decks, sell-in stories, and customer-facing materials.
  • Develop creative briefs and partner with Creative on packaging, design, messaging, and other assets required to bring new products to market.
  • Lead cross-functional project management across Operations, Sales, Finance, Marketing, and other teams to manage timelines, align stakeholders, resolve issues, and ensure launch readiness.
  • Manage relationships with external agency and vendor partners throughout the development process, ensuring projects remain on track and deliver against objectives.

Category Insights

  • Develop a deep understanding of the categories Graza operates in, including competitive landscape, shopper behavior, retailer dynamics, and emerging trends.
  • Develop clear, efficient reporting that enables the team to understand business performance and prioritize opportunities.
  • Monitor key business metrics, identify learnings, and recommend actions to improve performance.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market activity, including competitive launches, pricing, merchandising, distribution, and other factors relevant to Graza’s growth.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4–5+ years of experience in brand management, marketing, category management, or a related role.
  • Experience in CPG, preferably with experience working on new product innovation.
  • Strong analytical and commercial thinker with hands-on experience using Nielsen or other syndicated data, retailer data, and internal sales data.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data and insights into clear, actionable business recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of retail dynamics, sell-in processes, and the marketing funnel.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfortable owning both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution.
  • Excellent communicator who can simplify complex information and turn it into compelling commercial stories and recommendations.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who can effectively partner with Sales, Category Management, Creative, Operations, Finance, and external agency partners.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Passion for food, brands, and building products that consumers love.

Benefits

The salary range for this role is $92,000 - $115,000.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
