Non-CDL Bus Driver – Childcare Center
Southwest Washington Learning Center (SWLC) is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Bus Driver to transport school-age children to and from local Vancouver schools. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and values a consistent, part-time schedule.
Schedule Options:
- Morning Route: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
- Afternoon Route: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Applicants may apply for one or both shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport children to and from designated Vancouver schools using a 15-passenger bus
- Ensure children are properly supervised during loading, transport, and unloading
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate attendance and transportation logs
- Communicate professionally with staff, families, and school personnel
- Follow all Washington State and center safety policies and procedures

Requirements
Requirements:
- Must meet Washington State requirements for transporting children in a childcare setting (non-CDL 15-passenger vehicle)
- Valid Washington State driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Minimum age of 21 (per childcare transportation standards)
- Ability to pass DCYF background check and meet all pre-service requirements (including TB test and required trainings)
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism
- Ability to supervise children appropriately during transport
