Your Mission

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing team. Reporting to our VP Sales Southern Europe, you will be supporting Nuvei’s growth in the Italian market by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities. You will leverage your expertise in the payments or fintech industry to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, negotiate strategic partnerships, and deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs. Your deep understanding of the local market, combined with your sales acumen and communication skills, will be critical to Nuvei’s continued success in Italy..

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Italian payments and fintech landscape.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive revenue growth and market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and close commercial agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, legal, etc.) to deliver customized solutions for clients.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform business strategy.
  • Represent Nuvei at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales pipeline, forecasts, and market feedback to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • From 2 to 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within the payments or fintech industry.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and closing complex deals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in both English and Italian (written and spoken).
  • Strong understanding of the Italian payments and fintech market.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • Willingness to travel as required within Italy and internationally.

Will be considered a strong plus

  • Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications.
  • Existing network of contacts within the Italian payments or fintech ecosystem.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with digital payment solutions, e-commerce, and emerging financial technologies.

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is EUR 41,018 - EUR 57,900 (gross). This range represents the expected starting salary for candidates hired into this role in the specified location. If the position is filled in a different location, a different salary range may apply due to objective factors such as local labor market conditions and cost of living.

This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Nuvei and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
