The posting

We're looking for an excellent, creative Business Development Representative to own top-of-funnel growth across the EMEA region. You'll be the driving force behind generating qualified leads and setting up sales conversations that convert - working closely with Account Executives to fuel a healthy, predictable pipeline.

This isn't a "send more emails" role. We want someone who thinks like a marketer, hunts like a closer, and treats every outbound touch as a chance to stand out in a noisy market.

What You'll Do:

  • Proactively identify, research, and engage prospective clients across EMEA through outbound prospecting (email, LinkedIn, calls, events, and creative channels you bring yourself)
  • Qualify inbound leads and route sales-ready opportunities to Account Executives
  • Build and experiment with new outreach sequences, messaging angles, and channels to keep engagement rates high in a saturated market
  • Develop a deep understanding of MMDSmart's CPaaS offering (WhatsApp Business API, SMS, push notifications) to speak credibly with prospects across industries
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of prospect activity and pipeline status in the CRM
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to align on ideal customer profiles, messaging, and campaign timing
  • Consistently hit and exceed monthly/quarterly qualified meeting and pipeline targets
  • Stay on top of EMEA market trends, competitor activity, and regional communication regulations relevant to messaging channels

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

  • 1–3+ years of experience in a BDR/SDR or similar outbound sales role, ideally in SaaS, CPaaS, martech, or telecom
  • A track record of creative, non-generic prospecting - you don't just follow a script, you build one
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Spanish fluency is a strong advantage (supporting Spanish-speaking markets within EMEA)
  • Comfortable working across a multi-market, multicultural region with varying business norms and languages
  • Self-starter mentality - thrives with autonomy and ownership over their pipeline
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Apollo, or similar)
  • Genuine curiosity about messaging/communication technology (WhatsApp Business API, SMS, push notifications) is a plus

  • A consistent, high-quality flow of qualified meetings booked for the sales team
  • Creative campaigns/sequences that measurably outperform standard outbound benchmarks
  • Strong handoffs to AEs, with well-qualified, well-briefed opportunities
