Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic academic leadership across the Institute.
  • Lead academic governance and support the Academic Board in fulfilling its responsibilities.
  • Oversee course accreditation, re-accreditation, review, and development activities.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance of TEQSA registration and course accreditation compliance.
  • Lead TEQSA reaccreditation activities and provide a strong continuous improvement and innovation lens across academic operations.
  • Ensure compliance with TEQSA, HESF, AQF, and broader higher education regulatory requirements.
  • Champion academic integrity, assessment of governance, and student academic matters.
  • Provide expert advice and reporting to the Academic Board, Governing Body, and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.
  • Represent the Institute with regulators, industry stakeholders, and external partners

About You:

We are seeking an accomplished academic leader who combines deep regulatory expertise with a passion for educational excellence and innovation.

You will bring:

  • Substantial experience in academic leadership within an Australian higher education provider, including direct experience with TEQSA/HESF compliance and course accreditation processes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading TEQSA accreditation and reaccreditation activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, quality assurance, and assessment governance.
  • Experience leading and developing academic staff, including sessional and adjunct teaching teams.
  • High-level academic and stakeholder communication skills, including the ability to advise a Board and engage with regulators.
  • Extensive knowledge of TEQSA, HESF, AQF, academic governance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience managing academic risk, compliance, and quality assurance systems.
  • A track record of driving continuous improvement, innovation, and institutional growth.
  • A doctoral level qualification

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
