Chief Capital Officer (CCO)

Real Estate Development | Homebuilding | Mining & Building Materials

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

Employment Type: Full-Time | Executive Leadership

Compensation: Competitive Executive Salary + Performance-Based Bonus

We are conducting a confidential search for a Chief Capital Officer (CCO) to lead enterprise capital strategy, financial organization, and capital allocation across a growing operating and development platform.

This is an opportunity for a senior capital executive who has personally closed meaningful institutional transactions and can translate capital strategy into disciplined operating execution.

The CCO will work directly with the founder and governing board and will have a central role in building the company's capital infrastructure, financing pipeline, financial reporting discipline, and senior finance organization.

Position Overview

A privately held, founder-led real estate development and operating enterprise headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking an accomplished Chief Capital Officer (CCO) to lead capital formation, financing strategy, financial management, and strategic growth across a diversified portfolio of real estate assets and operating businesses. We are looking for an executive with demonstrated experience closing institutional debt or equity transactions, not simply advising on them.

The enterprise includes:

· A 2,000-acre, fully entitled master-planned residential community in Las Vegas, representing a significant long-term development opportunity.

· A large-scale master-planned residential community in Arizona.

· An established homebuilding business with more than 40 years of experience and over 12,000 homes developed, constructed, and sold.

· A class-defining luxury custom homebuilding division.

· An operational gypsum and aggregate mine in Southern Nevada, with opportunities for expansion into building materials and related industries.

· A portfolio of additional real estate holdings and investment properties throughout the Las Vegas area.

This is a senior executive leadership opportunity for an individual with extensive experience securing institutional capital, structuring complex financial transactions, developing relationships with lenders and equity investors, and building the financial infrastructure necessary to support a growing enterprise.

The successful candidate will work directly with ownership and senior management to develop and execute a comprehensive capital strategy supporting near-term project development, ongoing operations, and long-term enterprise expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Capital Formation & Financing

· Develop and implement enterprise-wide capital raising and financing strategies.

· Identify, cultivate, and secure institutional debt, private equity, joint venture capital, and alternative financing sources.

· Lead financial negotiations, transaction structuring, due diligence, and capital closings.

· Establish and maintain relationships with banks, institutional investors, private equity firms, family offices, investment banks, and private credit providers.

· Evaluate capital structures to optimize cost of capital, ownership interests, risk, and investment returns.

· Develop financing programs supporting real estate development, homebuilding, mining operations, and future business expansion.

Financial Strategy & Capital Allocation

· Develop financial models, investment analyses, budgets, and long-range capital plans.

· Evaluate development opportunities, acquisitions, asset dispositions, and strategic partnerships.

· Establish disciplined capital allocation and investment evaluation procedures.

· Oversee cash management, liquidity forecasting, debt obligations, and financial reporting.

· Coordinate financial strategies across multiple operating entities and investment platforms.

Executive Leadership & Enterprise Development

· Serve as a senior strategic advisor to the founder and ownership.

· Recruit, develop, and direct financial management and capital markets personnel.

· Establish financial controls, performance metrics, reporting systems, and accountability standards.

· Collaborate with development, construction, homebuilding, and mining operations leadership.

· Help build the organizational and financial framework for long-term enterprise expansion.

Required Qualifications

· Significant senior-level experience in institutional capital raising, corporate finance, real estate investment, private equity, investment banking, or related fields.

· Demonstrated success personally originating, structuring, negotiating, and closing substantial debt or equity transactions.

· Established relationships within institutional lending, private equity, family offices, and/or private credit markets.

· Thorough understanding of capital structures, development finance, joint ventures, financial modeling, and investment returns.

· Proven executive leadership experience, including building and managing high-performing teams.

· Ability to work effectively within an entrepreneurial, founder-led business environment.

· Strong negotiation, communication, financial analysis, and strategic decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Experience

· Approximately $500 million or more in cumulative transaction experience preferred.

· Experience with large-scale real estate development, master-planned communities, homebuilding, infrastructure, or operating businesses.

· Background as a Chief Investment Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Managing Director, Partner, or senior capital markets executive.

· Experience spanning multiple asset classes or operating businesses.

Compensation & Opportunity

Competitive executive compensation package, including base salary and a performance-based bonus structure commensurate with the position, experience, and demonstrated production and results.

Additional long-term incentive opportunities may be considered based on individual qualifications, performance, and contribution to enterprise value creation.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with an experienced entrepreneur and developer, assume substantial leadership responsibility, and participate in the growth of a diversified real estate and operating enterprise.

Application Process

Qualified applicants should submit a résumé highlighting relevant executive experience, capital markets relationships, and significant financing transactions personally originated or completed.

Candidates selected for further consideration may be asked to provide summaries of three representative transactions and their specific responsibilities in executing those transactions.

All initial inquiries and discussions will be handled confidentially.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
