BumaStemra zoekt een ervaren, verbindende Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Voorzitter van de Raad van Bestuur die binnen een collegiaal bestuur richting geeft aan de volgende fase van de organisatie. De strategische koers ligt in hoofdlijnen: betrouwbaarheid verder versterken, de beweging naar een ketengerichte organisatie realiseren en de internationale samenwerkingen verder ontwikkelen.

De CEO brengt rust, richting en samenhang. Hij of zij is relationeel sterk, luistert goed en verbindt uiteenlopende belangen, maar is ook besluitvaardig en resultaatgericht. De CEO versterkt leiderschap en cultuur en zorgt dat ingezette veranderingen daadwerkelijk worden gerealiseerd en geborgd.

BumaStemra vertegenwoordigt componisten, tekstschrijvers en muziekuitgevers en zorgt voor een eerlijke vergoeding voor het gebruik van hun muziek via onder meer radio, televisie, streamingplatforms, podia, horeca en andere vormen van muziekgebruik.

De organisatie bestaat uit ruim 220 medewerkers die dagelijks werken aan haar missie: het realiseren van eerlijke vergoedingen voor rechthebbenden en het beschermen en vergroten van de waarde van muziek.

Achter deze maatschappelijke opdracht bevindt zich een complexe, grootschalige transactieverwerkende organisatie. De kwaliteit van data, systemen, processen en ketensamenwerking is rechtstreeks bepalend voor een juiste en tijdige inning en verdeling van gelden. BumaStemra werkt daarom gericht aan de verdere versterking van haar operationele en technologische fundament.

Digitalisering, data, AI en internationale standaardisatie stellen daarbij steeds hogere eisen aan de betrouwbaarheid, snelheid en transparantie van rechtenverwerking en distributie.

Tegelijkertijd is het speelveld internationaler en competitiever geworden. Rechthebbenden, uitgevers, toezichthouders en zusterorganisaties verwachten hoge kwaliteit, transparantie en tijdige dienstverlening.

Taken en verantwoordelijkheden

  • Geeft als voorzitter richting aan de Raad van Bestuur en bewaakt de kwaliteit en samenhang van de bestuurlijke besluitvorming
  • Draagt samen met CFO en COO de integrale verantwoordelijkheid voor strategie, continuïteit en ontwikkeling van BumaStemra
  • Vertaalt de strategische koers naar duidelijke organisatiebrede prioriteiten en bewaakt samenhang en voortgang
  • Geeft richting aan leiderschap, cultuur en samenwerking en zorgt dat de verschillende bestuurlijke portefeuilles elkaar versterken
  • Onderhoudt effectieve relaties met interne en externe stakeholders en vertegenwoordigt BumaStemra nationaal en internationaal
  • Geeft richting aan internationale samenwerking en relevante ontwikkelingen rond auteursrecht, AI en het toekomstige speelveld
  • Maakt waar nodig scherpe keuzes in prioriteiten, capaciteit, kosten en organisatie-inrichting

Requirements

  • Ruime integrale eindverantwoordelijke directie- of bestuurservaring
  • Aantoonbare ervaring met het realiseren en borgen van substantiële organisatieverandering
  • Vermogen complexe processen en een data- en technologiegedreven omgeving te doorgronden
  • Ervaring met complexe governance en uiteenlopende interne en externe stakeholders
  • Aantoonbare internationale ervaring en vermogen om strategische samenwerkingen te ontwikkelen
  • Relationeel en toegankelijk, gecombineerd met besluitvaardigheid en resultaatgerichtheid

Pré’s: ervaring met leden- of belangenorganisaties, kosten- of organisatieherstructurering en specifieke kennis van auteursrecht, muziekrechten of relevante regelgeving.
