Position Overview

The Configuration Specialist is responsible for the setup, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of merchant production accounts within the payment gateway environment. This role ensures accurate configuration of payment methods, banking information, currencies, MCC codes, terminals, and account profiles while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and business requirements. The specialist works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support merchant onboarding, account modifications, and production issue resolution.

You will carry out sensitive technical configurations in the production environment and contribute to the configuration of the new clients of the company. Participating in testing and troubleshooting new Banks, APMs and services in production environment. Executing all configuration requests submitted via tickets and executed only when the requirements are clear.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle routine technical configuration and data to fill tasks
  • Write and follow specific procedures, unique to each client/partner.
  • Reply to inquiries concerning technical and configuration matters.
  • Track the issues until problems are solved, contacting the relevant departments in the organization when needed.
  • Previous experience in the online payment industry will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Experience with APM (Alternative Payments Methods) and 3-th party providers.
  • Technical background -investigating logs, internet experience, communication protocols (client-server, server-to-server, etc.) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in creating queries for servers using HTTPS and REST API is a plus.
  • Orientation in technical documentation API (Application Programming Interface).
  • Orientation in big server logs from different modules.
  • Investigating errors and logs and sending feedback to internal departments (Product/Technical Teams).
  • Ability to analyze problems quickly and find suitable solutions based on available resources.
  • Fast learner, multi-tasker, tech oriented.
  • A high level of patience and the ability to work in a busy and sometimes pressured environment.
  • Ability to prevent wrong configurations due to missing or incomplete requirements.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The annual base salary range for this role in the primary locations are: Bulgaria: EUR €26,500 - EUR €30,000 (Gross) and Lithuania: €28,000-€36,000 (Gross) . This range represents the expected starting salary for candidates hired into this role in the specified location. If the position is filled in a different location, a different salary range may apply due to objective factors such as local labor market conditions and cost of living.

This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
