Pan American Grain es una empresa que se desempeña desde hace 45 años en el negocio de importación, procesamiento, manufactura y distribución de alimentos y otros productos (Arroz Rico, Café Mami, Gasolina Party Pouch, Pan American Wine and Spirits, Harina Rico, Café del Patio, fertilizantes). Actualmente posee 4 molinos para procesar granos, 5 plantas manufactureras, 2 facilidades portuarias, 5 almacenes de granos y 1 torrefactora de café. Contamos con facilidades en Guaynabo (Oficinas Centrales), Bayamón, Cataño, Toa Baja, Vega Alta, Coamo y Guánica.

Como Gerenre de Proyectos de Construccion en Pan American Grain estará encargado de planificar, diseñar, dirigir y supervisar la construcción o mejoras de nuestras plantas, oficinas y almacenes. Deberá liderar, coordinar y supervisar los proyectos de diseño e ingeniería de la organización, asegurando el cumplimiento de los estándares de calidad, requisitos técnicos y regulatorios, tiempos de entrega y expectativas establecidas, garantizando que las estructuras sean seguras, funcionales y cumplan con los presupuestos, plazos de entrega y normas vigentes.

  • Diseño y planificación de proyectos: crear planos detallados y conceptualiza el proyecto, teniendo en cuenta la normativa aplicable, las condiciones del terreno y la finalidad de la obra. Utilizan herramientas de software como AutoCAD para desarrollar modelos que anticipen el resultado final.
  • Determinar los costos de construcción, las regulaciones de construcción locales y profesionales, los impactos ambientales y otros factores que pueden afectar la implementación del proyecto.
  • Realizar estudios de viabilidad, topografía y mecánica de suelos para determinar la capacidad de carga del terreno y el tipo de cimentación requerida (especialmente crítico para el peso y tránsito en almacenes).
  • Calcular y diseñar la estructuras (concreto armado, acero estructural) garantizando que soporte cargas estáticas, dinámicas y vientos, cumpliendo con los códigos de construcción locales.
  • Elaborar el presupuesto detallado y el cronograma de obra, definiendo la ruta crítica del proyecto.
  • Prevención de riesgos laborales: implementan medidas de seguridad para proteger a los trabajadores y las instalaciones, elaborando planes de seguridad y evaluaciones de riesgos.
  • Dirigir y supervisar a los equipos de trabajo y subcontratistas en todas las etapas.
  • Gestión de recursos: coordinar y optimizar el uso de materiales y mano de obra para minimizar costes y cumplir con los plazos establecidos.
  • Construcción de Almacenes (Logística e Industria): Enfoque en el diseño de losas industriales de alta resistencia para el soporte de maquinaria pesada y estanterías, cálculo de claros amplios (sin columnas intermedias) para optimizar el espacio de almacenamiento, y diseño de muelles de carga y patios de maniobras para tráfico de camiones pesados.
  • Mantenimiento de infraestructuras: realizar evaluaciones periódicas de la integridad estructural y planifican las reparaciones necesarias para mantener la seguridad y funcionalidad a largo plazo.

Requirements

  • Bachillerato en Ingenería Civil
  • Licencia activa del Colegio de Ingenieros.
  • +5 años de experiencia en la industria de construccion y/o manufactura
  • Experiencia manejando contratos lump sum y cost-plus.
  • Conocimiento en change orders, certificaciones de pago y control de costos.
  • Dominio de interpretación de planos arquitectónicos, estructurales y de sistemas.
  • Conocimiento avanzado en mecánica de suelos, cálculo estructural, diseño de cimentaciones, lectura de planos y dominio de software de diseño asistido por computadora (CAD/BIM).
  • Experiencia con plataformas de gestión de proyectos.
  • Manejo avanzado de Microsoft Excel y Word.
  • Excelentes habilidades de organización, orientación detallada y seguimiento.
  • Capacidad para manejar múltiples proyectos simultáneamente y trabajar bajo presión.
  • Excelentes habilidades de liderazgo, comunicación y negociación.
  • Conocimientos en procesos atados a calidad, seguridad y salud.
  • Experienca con manejo de personal.
  • Excelente habilidad de comunicación verbal y escrita en español e inglés.
