We're Hiring | Consultant Pediatric Rheumatologist

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Pediatric Rheumatologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have specialized expertise in diagnosing and managing autoimmune, inflammatory, and rheumatic conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric rheumatological conditions.
- Diagnose and treat juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and other inflammatory arthritides.
- Manage pediatric autoimmune and connective tissue disorders, including lupus and vasculitis.
- Evaluate and manage inflammatory muscle, bone, and joint disorders.
- Assess children with unexplained joint pain, swelling, stiffness, fever, fatigue, and systemic inflammatory symptoms.
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based medical and pharmacological therapies.
- Manage advanced therapies including biologic and targeted treatments where clinically appropriate.
- Monitor treatment response, medication safety, disease activity, and potential complications.
- Perform or coordinate appropriate joint and soft-tissue procedures where within scope of practice.
- Work closely with pediatricians, immunologists, orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, ophthalmologists, and other multidisciplinary specialists.
- Coordinate care for children with rheumatic diseases involving multiple organ systems.
- Provide education and counselling to patients and their families regarding disease management and long-term care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with patient-safety and clinical governance standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, research, and CME activities.
Requirements
Qualifications
- MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics.
- Fellowship or advanced training in Pediatric Rheumatology.
- Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist/consultant qualification.
- Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience, with significant pediatric rheumatology experience.
- Strong clinical experience in pediatric autoimmune, inflammatory, and rheumatic diseases.
- Experience with biologic and immunomodulatory therapies is highly desirable.
- Eligible for DHA Consultant classification/license in Dubai.
- Excellent clinical, communication, and patient-management skills.
