We're Hiring | Consultant Rehabilitation Medicine

📍 Location: DUBAI

💼 Employment Type: Full-Time

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Rehabilitation Medicine physician to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and comprehensive rehabilitation of patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and other disabling conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive assessment and management of patients requiring medical rehabilitation.
  • Develop individualized rehabilitation plans based on clinical assessment, functional needs, and patient goals.
  • Manage patients with stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and neurological disorders.
  • Evaluate and manage musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions affecting mobility and function.
  • Manage patients with chronic pain, spasticity, and physical disabilities.
  • Provide rehabilitation management for patients following trauma, surgery, and major medical conditions.
  • Assess functional limitations and coordinate appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Manage spasticity using pharmacological and interventional approaches where appropriately trained.
  • Perform or coordinate procedures such as botulinum toxin injections, joint injections, nerve blocks, and other rehabilitation-related interventions within scope of practice.
  • Work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs and monitor patient progress.
  • Provide guidance on mobility, assistive devices, prosthetics, orthotics, and functional independence where appropriate.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding rehabilitation goals, prognosis, and long-term management.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with clinical governance and patient-safety standards.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, research, and CME activities.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation / Rehabilitation Medicine.
  • Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist/consultant qualification.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience in Rehabilitation Medicine.
  • Strong experience in neurological, musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and functional rehabilitation.
  • Experience managing complex rehabilitation cases and multidisciplinary programs.
  • Experience in spasticity management and interventional rehabilitation procedures is highly desirable.
  • Eligible for DHA Consultant classification/license in Dubai.
  • Excellent clinical, communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
