We're Hiring | Consultant Rheumatologist

📍 Location: DUBAI

💼 Employment Type: Full-Time

.We are looking for an experienced Consultant Rheumatologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in diagnosing and managing autoimmune, inflammatory, musculoskeletal, and rheumatic diseases, with a patient-centered approach to long-term care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, and management of rheumatological conditions.
  • Diagnose and manage rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, and other inflammatory arthritis's.
  • Evaluate and manage systemic autoimmune and connective tissue disorders, including lupus, scleroderma, Sjogren's syndrome, and vasculitis.
  • Assess patients presenting with joint pain, swelling, stiffness, fatigue, and other musculoskeletal symptoms.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, laboratory investigations, and imaging.
  • Manage advanced therapies including biologic and targeted treatments where clinically appropriate.
  • Monitor disease activity, treatment response, medication safety, and potential complications.
  • Perform or coordinate appropriate joint and soft-tissue procedures, including injections, where within scope of practice.
  • Provide comprehensive management of osteoporosis and metabolic bone conditions where appropriate.
  • Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, pain specialists, dermatologists, nephrologists, pulmonologists, and other multidisciplinary specialists.
  • Provide patient education regarding disease management, medication adherence, lifestyle modification, and long-term care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with clinical governance and patient-safety standards.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, research, and CME activities.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Rheumatology or Internal Medicine with Rheumatology specialization.
  • Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist/consultant qualification.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience in Rheumatology.
  • Strong clinical experience in autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal diseases.
  • Experience with biologic, immunomodulatory, and targeted therapies is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing complex multisystem rheumatological conditions.
  • Eligible for DHA Consultant classification/license in Dubai.
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and patient-management skills.
