Prestage Farms está buscando personas para apoyar en el cuidado y manejo de pavos destinados a la producción de huevos y carne.

Este puesto se desempeña en una granja de pavos reproductores y requiere trabajar directamente con las aves y dentro de los galpones. El empleado debe seguir estrictamente los procedimientos de bioseguridad, seguridad y bienestar animal de Prestage Farms.

Se requiere disponibilidad para trabajar los fines de semana, con un horario de 5 días de trabajo y 2 días de descanso con un promedio de 45-50 horas trabajadas por semana. ¡Se paga semanalmente!

Requirements

  • Limpiar y llenar los comederos y recipientes de agua.
  • Rociar los galpones avícolas con desinfectantes y vacunas, de acuerdo con los procedimientos establecidos.
  • Inspeccionar las aves para detectar enfermedades o signos de enfermedad.
  • Retirar del lote las aves débiles, enfermas o muertas.
  • Recoger los huevos de los nidos y registrar la cantidad de huevos producidos por cada pava.
  • Empacar los huevos en cajas o cartones.
  • Seleccionar, pesar y colocar los pavos jóvenes en jaulas o cajas, según sea necesario.
  • Registrar las cantidades empacadas o colocadas en jaulas/cajas en los documentos de envío o almacenamiento.
  • Mantener registros de alimentación y reproducción.
  • Supervisar y mantener los niveles adecuados de alimento, agua e iluminación.
  • Trabajar de manera independiente y completar las tareas asignadas de manera eficiente.
  • Comunicarse de manera efectiva, tanto verbalmente como por escrito.
  • Cumplir con todos los procedimientos de seguridad, bioseguridad, bienestar animal y políticas de la compañía.
  • Debe ducharse antes de ingresar a las instalaciones y usar el uniforme proporcionado por la compañía.
  • Debe estar disponible para trabajar los fines de semana.
  • Caminar, levantar objetos y agacharse de manera frecuente y constante durante la jornada laboral.
  • Levantar y/o mover regularmente hasta 25 libras y ocasionalmente hasta 50 libras.
  • Estar expuesto a condiciones climáticas exteriores, incluyendo calor, frío, polvo y alta humedad.
  • Se requiere capacidad visual para realizar las funciones del puesto, incluyendo visión de cerca, visión de lejos, visión de colores, visión periférica, percepción de profundidad y capacidad para ajustar el enfoque.
  • El trabajo puede requerir estar de pie, caminar, agacharse y realizar movimientos repetitivos durante períodos prolongados.
