Join Our Team as a Dental Hygienist — Commonwealth Dentistry is Hiring!

Ready to bring your skills to a practice where you'll actually love coming to work? Commonwealth Dentistry is looking for a talented Dental Hygienist to join our growing team!

In this role, you'll team up with our dentists and dental professionals to give patients the outstanding care they deserve. Day to day, you'll:

  • Conduct patient screenings and perform dental cleanings
  • Take and evaluate x-rays
  • Apply preventive treatments
  • Educate patients on building great oral hygiene habits
  • Support the team with light administrative tasks

What we're looking for: a hygienist with sharp attention to detail, great people skills, and genuine enthusiasm for helping patients smile brighter.

Requirements

  • Individual must be reliable. This is a part time position.
  • Completed dental hygiene certificate program or Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene and has current Hygienist license for state of Virginia. NEW GRADS WELCOME!
  • Ability to demonstrate independent thinking and exercise good judgment
  • Ability to formulate, affect, interpret, and/or implement operating practices
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork approach to job responsibilities
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, dependability and promptness
  • Must perform frequent repetitive work with attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to be flexible and accept different work assignments with a positive approach
  • Ability to follow instructions and takes responsibility for own actions
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality with Patients and patient care
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals and written correspondence
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
