Greenvolt Next France is seeking a Design Engineer who will be responsible for the technical design and engineering of decentralized energy projects, with a strong focus on photovoltaic (PV) installations. You will play a key role in transforming project opportunities into technically optimized, compliant, and cost-effective solutions, supporting projects from development through construction and operation.

You will work closely with business development, project management, procurement, and construction teams, ensuring that all engineering deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and project objectives. This role combines technical expertise, analytical skills, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-growing environment focused on the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Design & Technical Development

  • Develop technical designs for photovoltaic projects, including system layouts, electrical diagrams, and equipment selection.
  • Perform energy yield assessments and production simulations using industry-standard software.
  • Conduct site assessments and technical due diligence to support project feasibility studies.
  • Prepare technical documentation required for project development, permitting, and grid connection applications.
  • Review technical constraints and propose optimized engineering solutions aligned with customer requirements and project objectives.
  • Support business development activities by providing technical input for proposals, tenders, and client presentations. Engineering & Detailed Design
  • Produce and review detailed engineering packages, including:
  • Site layouts
  • Single-line diagrams (SLDs)
  • String designs
  • Cable sizing calculations
  • Protection and coordination studies
  • Structural integration concepts
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and Greenvolt Group engineering guidelines.
  • Coordinate with external engineering consultants when required.
  • Validate equipment specifications and technical datasheets.
  • Support technology selection and value engineering initiatives to improve project performance and competitiveness. Project Execution Support
  • Provide technical support to construction and site teams during project execution.
  • Review Requests for Information (RFIs) and resolve engineering-related issues during construction.
  • Participate in technical meetings with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Review as-built documentation and ensure consistency with approved designs.
  • Support commissioning activities and technical acceptance testing. Technical Coordination & Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with internal teams (business development, procurement, project management, and operations) to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Coordinate with Distribution System Operators (DSOs), regulatory authorities, and external engineering partners.
  • Support supplier and vendor technical evaluations.
  • Act as a technical reference throughout the project lifecycle. Compliance, Quality & Innovation
  • Ensure engineering designs comply with local regulations, grid requirements, safety standards, and internal procedures.
  • Stay informed on industry developments, new technologies, and engineering best practices in the renewable energy sector.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards, tools, and processes.
  • Support the implementation of innovative solutions that enhance project efficiency, safety, and performance. Operation & Maintenance Support
  • Provide engineering support during the transition from construction to operational phases.
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues affecting project performance.
  • Support performance analysis and optimization initiatives for operational PV assets.
  • Contribute to technical documentation updates and lessons-learned processes. Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date engineering documentation throughout all project phases.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and design reviews.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing engineering documentation and evidence of compliance.
  • Communicate project progress and technical risks to relevant stakeholders.

Greenvolt Next France recherche un(e) Design Engineer, chargé(e) de concevoir et développer les solutions techniques de projets d’énergie décentralisée, avec un fort accent sur les installations photovoltaïques (PV). Vous jouerez un rôle clé dans la transformation des opportunités commerciales en solutions techniques optimisées, conformes et compétitives, en accompagnant les projets depuis leur développement jusqu’à leur construction et leur exploitation.

Vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec les équipes de développement commercial, gestion de projet, achats et construction afin de garantir la qualité, la conformité réglementaire et la faisabilité technique des livrables d’ingénierie.

Principales responsabilités

Conception de projets & support technique

  • Concevoir les installations photovoltaïques, incluant les plans d’implantation, schémas électriques et choix des équipements.
  • Réaliser des études de productible et des simulations énergétiques à l’aide des outils du secteur.
  • Effectuer des analyses techniques et études de faisabilité des sites.
  • Préparer la documentation technique nécessaire aux démarches administratives, autorisations et raccordements réseau.
  • Identifier les contraintes techniques et proposer des solutions optimisées répondant aux exigences des clients et du projet.
  • Apporter un support technique aux offres commerciales, appels d’offres et présentations clients.

Ingénierie & conception détaillée

  • Produire et vérifier les dossiers d’ingénierie détaillée comprenant notamment :
  • Plans d’implantation
  • Schémas unifilaires
  • Études de stringing
  • Calculs de dimensionnement des câbles
  • Études de protections électriques
  • Concepts d’intégration structurelle
  • Garantir la conformité aux normes, réglementations et directives d’ingénierie du groupe Greenvolt.
  • Coordonner les études réalisées par des bureaux d’études externes si nécessaire.
  • Valider les spécifications techniques et fiches techniques des équipements.
  • Participer aux démarches d’optimisation technique et économique des projets.

Support à l’exécution des projets

  • Fournir un support technique aux équipes de construction et aux responsables de chantier.
  • Répondre aux problématiques techniques rencontrées pendant l’exécution.
  • Participer aux réunions techniques avec les sous-traitants, fournisseurs et partenaires.
  • Vérifier la documentation « as-built » et son adéquation avec les conceptions validées.
  • Contribuer aux opérations de mise en service et aux essais techniques.

Coordination technique & gestion des parties prenantes

  • Collaborer avec les équipes internes (développement, achats, gestion de projet et opérations) pour assurer une exécution efficace des projets.
  • Coordonner les échanges avec les gestionnaires de réseau, autorités compétentes et partenaires techniques.
  • Participer à l’évaluation technique des fournisseurs et prestataires.
  • Assurer un rôle de référent technique tout au long du cycle de vie du projet.

Conformité, qualité & innovation

  • Garantir la conformité des conceptions aux réglementations locales, exigences réseau, normes de sécurité et procédures internes.
  • Assurer une veille technologique et réglementaire dans le secteur des énergies renouvelables.
  • Contribuer à l’amélioration continue des standards, outils et processus d’ingénierie.
  • Participer au déploiement de solutions innovantes visant à améliorer la performance et la compétitivité des projets.

Exploitation & maintenance (O&M)

  • Apporter un support technique lors de la transition vers la phase d’exploitation.
  • Participer à l’analyse et à la résolution de problématiques techniques impactant la performance des actifs.
  • Contribuer aux démarches d’optimisation de production des centrales photovoltaïques.
  • Mettre à jour la documentation technique et partager les retours d’expérience.

Reporting & documentation

  • Maintenir une documentation technique complète et à jour à toutes les étapes du projet.
  • Rédiger des notes de calcul, rapports techniques et revues de conception.
  • Soutenir les audits internes et externes en fournissant les documents de conformité requis.
  • Communiquer régulièrement sur l’avancement des études et les risques techniques identifiés.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Energy, Renewable Energy, Electromechanical, or related field).
  • 3+ years of experience in photovoltaic project design, electrical engineering, renewable energy projects, or related technical roles.
  • Experience in the design and engineering of photovoltaic (PV) systems and decentralized energy solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low and medium voltage installations.
  • Experience in preparing technical documentation, drawings, calculations, and engineering studies.
  • Familiarity with the full project lifecycle, from development and design through commissioning and operation.
  • Good understanding of grid connection requirements, electrical protection principles, and applicable standards.
  • Fluency in French and good command of English.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with PV design and simulation software, including PVsyst, PV*SOL, and electrical sizing tools.
  • Knowledge of GIS tools and CAD-based design software is considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Driving licence (Category B) is considered an advantage.
  • Availability to travel occasionally to project sites when required.

  • Connaissance des exigences de raccordement au réseau, des principes de protection électrique et des normes applicables.
  • Maîtrise du français et bon niveau d’anglais.
  • Bonne maîtrise d’AutoCAD et de la suite Microsoft Office.
  • Expérience avec les logiciels de conception et de simulation photovoltaïque tels que PVsyst, PV*SOL et les outils de dimensionnement électrique.
  • La connaissance d’outils SIG (GIS) et de logiciels de conception assistée par ordinateur constitue un atout.
  • Excellentes capacités d’analyse et de résolution de problèmes.
  • Sens de l’organisation et grande attention aux détails.
