The posting

Viva.com is the first Tech Bank in Europe for businesses, serving 31 countries through its pan-European critical infrastructure for payments & banking services.

Viva.com’s offering spans omnichannel payment acceptance, deposit accounts, card issuing, and a broad suite of financing solutions, providing businesses of all sizes and sectors with the tools they need to operate efficiently, both domestically and internationally, through a single integrated platform.

Viva.com pioneered and leads in Tap on Any Device technology, enabling acceptance on any Android device or iPhone, while connecting directly to all major international and domestic card schemes, local payment systems, and alternative payment methods across Europe.

The Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and improving the automation, deployment, observability, and operational capabilities that support Viva.com’s technology platforms.

You will work closely with engineering, cloud infrastructure, SRE, architecture, QA, security, and operations teams to enable reliable software delivery, scalable cloud-native infrastructure, and efficient production operations.

This role requires a self-driven engineer with strong ownership, technical curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset. You will be expected to work autonomously, identify areas for optimization, challenge existing processes, and actively contribute to the evolution of our DevOps practices.

A strong focus will be placed on Azure DevOps, AKS, CI/CD automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, Datadog observability, cloud-native operations, and AI-assisted automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines across multiple applications, services, and environments;
  • Support and enhance deployment automation using Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, scripting, templates, and reusable pipeline components;
  • Contribute to the migration, operation, and optimization of workloads running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and other cloud-native platforms;
  • Build, maintain, and improve Infrastructure-as-Code practices to support repeatable, secure, and scalable infrastructure delivery;
  • Automate manual and repetitive operational tasks using scripting, tooling, and where applicable, AI-assisted automation capabilities;
  • Support the standardization and continuous improvement of release management, deployment governance, and production delivery processes;
  • Implement and maintain observability capabilities using Datadog, including monitors, dashboards, logs, metrics, alerts, and integrations;
  • Collaborate with SRE and engineering teams to improve system reliability, incident detection, alert quality, and operational visibility;
  • Proactively identify performance, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization opportunities across infrastructure and delivery workflows;
  • Participate in the design and implementation of cloud-native solutions with a focus on resilience, maintainability, automation, and operational excellence;
  • Research, evaluate, and introduce emerging technologies, including AI-powered DevOps, observability, automation, and incident response tooling;
  • Work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to enable efficient end-to-end delivery;
  • Contribute to technical documentation, operational runbooks, deployment guides, and knowledge-sharing practices;
  • Take ownership of assigned initiatives and drive them independently from analysis and implementation through validation and operational handover.

At Viva.com, we believe in amplifying human potential through AI. When you join us, you're stepping into a future-forward environment where technology empowers every role, driving smarter, more efficient.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent proven professional experience;
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar role;
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including resource deployment, configuration, monitoring, and operational management;
  • Practical experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, repositories, service connections, artifacts, and release automation;
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes, preferably with hands-on experience in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS);
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, AKS, OpenShift, or similar;
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, or similar;
  • Solid scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash/Shell, or Python, experience with Windows and Linux server administration;
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability practices, ideally using Datadog or similar platforms;
  • Understanding of logs, metrics, alerts, dashboards, incident response workflows and familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git;
  • Experience with build automation and dependency management tools such as Maven, Gradle, NuGet, or similar;
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues across infrastructure, pipelines, and application environments;
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Datadog Observability, AKS environments, KEDA, autoscaling, and cloud cost optimization practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell, Azure APIs, and integration technologies such as REST, JSON, SOAP, and webhooks.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, mobile CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and CI/CD security practices including secrets management and least-privilege access.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted engineering workflows for automation, troubleshooting, and operational improvement, with strong interest in cloud-native technologies, observability, and continuous improvement.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
