Company Overview

Rapsodo is a global sports technology company that develops data-driven performance and analytics solutions for athletes and coaches. Founded in Singapore, the company combines advanced hardware, computer vision, and software to deliver professional-grade tools across sports such as baseball, softball, and golf.

Rapsodo supports athletes of all levels—from amateurs to professionals—by providing real-time data and insights to improve performance. The company has a strong global presence with offices across the globe, and works with leading teams, organizations, and training facilities worldwide.

Role Purpose

Rapsodo is seeking a commercially driven Digital & Business Development Manager to help shape our digital and marketplace growth on a global stage — spanning key markets across Asia, Europe, and beyond — based in our Kuala Lumpur office.

This role sits at the intersection of ecommerce execution and market development — owning performance across key platforms such as Amazon, Coupang, Shopee, Rakuten, and other regional channels, while also identifying and developing new commercial partnerships and channel opportunities in-market. You'll balance the discipline of marketplace operations with the outward-facing instincts of business development, translating global strategy into local execution and surfacing new growth opportunities as you go.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Ownership

  • Own revenue performance, margin contribution, and forecast accuracy across digital and marketplace platforms
  • Drive profitable growth while aligning with broader regional and global commercial strategies
  • Ensure pricing integrity while adapting to local market dynamics, competitive pressures, and currency fluctuations
  • Partner cross-functionally to prevent channel conflict and maintain a cohesive go-to-market approach
  • Deliver clear, data-driven performance reporting across markets

2. Business Development & Partnerships

  • Identify and evaluate new distribution, retail, and channel partnership opportunities across International Markets
  • Build and manage relationships with regional distributors, retailers, and marketplace account teams
  • Support market entry and expansion efforts, including partner scoping and early-stage commercial negotiations
  • Feed market intelligence — competitor activity, partner opportunities, regional demand signals — back into broader International Markets strategy

3. Marketplace & Regional Strategy

  • Develop and execute strategies tailored to platforms such as Amazon, Coupang, Shopee, Rakuten, etc.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align marketplace plans with broader regional objectives
  • Integrate product launches, campaigns, and partnerships into execution
  • Provide feedback loops to the International Markets team on regional performance, customer insights, and market opportunities

4. Localization & Regional Adaptation

  • Translate global ecommerce and brand strategies into region-specific execution plans
  • Adapt promotions, content, and assortment based on local consumer behavior, competitive landscape, and platform dynamics
  • Ensure cultural and language relevance across all customer touchpoints
  • Balance global consistency with local optimization — knowing when to standardize vs. localize
  • Continuously test, learn, and iterate strategies by region to drive performance improvements

5. Operational Excellence

  • Maintain listing health, compliance, and account standing across all platforms
  • Proactively manage risks including suppression, delistings, and policy violations
  • Align inventory planning with regional demand, lead times, and promotional calendars
  • Ensure advertising and promotional activity aligns with inventory realities

6. Conversion Optimization

  • Optimize listings, pricing, and promotions to improve conversion rates
  • Improve ratings, reviews, and overall brand presence within each platform
  • Ensure content consistency while adapting to local language and cultural expectations

Requirements

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7 years of experience across ecommerce/marketplace management and business development or partnerships, ideally in a role spanning both, with experience operating across multiple global markets
  • Experience managing multiple marketplaces (D2C websites + regional platforms preferred)
  • Track record of sourcing, negotiating, or managing commercial partnerships in-market
  • Demonstrated ownership of revenue and performance across digital channels
  • Familiarity with marketplace dynamics across global regions such as Asia and Europe
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity — this role spans two disciplines
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and outcome-focused

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
