Position Type: Full-Time, Remote Working Hours: U.S. Mountain Time Location: Remote — LATAM, Philippines, or Pakistan Compensation: USD $1,500–$3,500/month Function: Digital Marketing / Account Management / Local SEO

About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Digital Marketing Account Manager to manage relationships and marketing performance for a portfolio of local business clients.

This role combines client account management, Local SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, performance reporting, and AI-assisted execution. You’ll be the primary point of contact for your clients, helping them understand their results while proactively identifying opportunities, resolving issues, and keeping their accounts moving forward.

The ideal candidate understands both sides of the role: strong client communication and hands-on digital marketing execution.

What You’ll Own

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of local business clients
  • Build trust through consistent and proactive communication
  • Develop a clear understanding of each client’s business, market, and goals
  • Provide regular, specific updates on performance and ongoing work
  • Track commitments and follow through on client requests
  • Identify concerns early rather than waiting for clients to raise them
  • Translate technical marketing information into clear, client-friendly language

Local SEO & Google Business Profile

  • Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles
  • Maintain accurate business information and local listings
  • Support review-management workflows
  • Monitor local search visibility and ranking performance
  • Implement appropriate on-page and off-page SEO tactics for local markets
  • Identify opportunities to improve local organic visibility
  • Monitor performance changes and investigate ranking declines
  • Ensure Local SEO execution aligns with each client’s business objectives

Analytics & Performance Reporting

  • Monitor performance using Google Search Console and Google Analytics
  • Review search visibility, traffic, rankings, and other relevant performance indicators
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues
  • Turn data into clear and actionable recommendations
  • Prepare client-facing performance reports
  • Explain results to non-technical clients in a straightforward way
  • Use reporting to keep clients informed and engaged with their progress

AI-Assisted Marketing Execution

  • Use Claude and ChatGPT to accelerate day-to-day marketing workflows
  • Draft client-facing and marketing content with AI assistance
  • Conduct research and streamline recurring deliverables
  • Review, edit, and quality-check AI-generated work before delivery
  • Adapt outputs to each client’s brand, context, and objectives
  • Apply independent judgment rather than relying on AI-generated output without review

Issue Resolution & Account Ownership

  • Identify performance dips or account concerns early
  • Diagnose potential causes using available SEO and analytics data
  • Coordinate internally to resolve client issues
  • Communicate clearly with clients when problems arise
  • Track issues through resolution
  • Take end-to-end ownership of assigned accounts

Growth & Upsell Opportunities

  • Identify opportunities where additional marketing services could meaningfully benefit clients
  • Recognize when services such as Google Ads may complement existing Local SEO efforts
  • Communicate recommendations clearly and consultatively
  • Focus on genuine client value rather than aggressive selling
  • Coordinate internally when additional services are appropriate

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, account management, or a related role
  • Experience working with local businesses or SMB clients preferred
  • Hands-on experience managing and optimizing Google Business Profiles
  • Experience with review management and local listing accuracy
  • Working proficiency with Google Search Console
  • Working proficiency with Google Analytics
  • Ability to interpret marketing data and explain findings to non-technical clients

  • Experience identifying cross-sell or upsell opportunities
  • Strong understanding of AI-assisted marketing workflows

What Makes You a Strong Fit

You’ll likely thrive in this role if you:

  • Communicate proactively so clients don’t need to chase you for updates
  • Take ownership of accounts from start to finish
  • Understand Local SEO beyond simply updating a Google Business Profile

  • Explain technical marketing information clearly to business owners
  • Flag performance issues early and take action
  • Use AI as a productivity tool without sacrificing judgment or quality
  • Know when AI-generated content needs significant rewriting
  • Are organized enough to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deliverables
  • Can work independently while staying aligned with a remote team
  • Look for growth opportunities based on genuine client needs rather than pushing unnecessary services

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Your day will operate on U.S. Mountain Time and balance proactive client management with hands-on marketing execution.

You may start by reviewing overnight client messages and identifying anything requiring immediate attention. From there, you could optimize Google Business Profiles, review Search Console for ranking changes or crawl issues, and analyze Google Analytics data for upcoming client reports.

You may use Claude or ChatGPT to accelerate content, research, or recommendations before applying your own judgment and editing the final output. Afternoons may include client check-ins or internal meetings to align on priorities and resolve outstanding issues.

In short: you’ll own client relationships while ensuring their Local SEO work is executed, measured, communicated, and continuously improved.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
