Description du poste

Dans le cadre de l’expansion continue de notre portefeuille d’entreprises de logiciels de marchés verticaux, nous recherchons un(e) professionnel(le) dynamique et expérimenté(e) pour se joindre à notre équipe à titre de Directeur(trice) général(e). Relevant directement de l’un de nos Associés en investissement, le ou la Directeur(trice) général(e) sera responsable de la gestion et de la croissance des entreprises sous sa responsabilité, avec une pleine autonomie et une responsabilité complète quant à la performance des activités.

La personne idéale est un leader stratégique capable de stimuler l’excellence opérationnelle, la croissance organique et la rentabilité, tout en favorisant la collaboration entre les équipes afin d’assurer l’exécution réussie des stratégies d’affaires.

Responsabilités clés

Stratégie d’affaires et opérations

  • Mettre en œuvre notre modèle opérationnel fondé sur quatre piliers : la stratégie et le positionnement de l’entreprise, l’excellence opérationnelle, la croissance, ainsi que la stratégie produit et technologique.
  • Identifier, définir et exécuter les stratégies nécessaires pour atteindre les plans de croissance et les objectifs opérationnels, avec un accent sur l’amélioration continue.
  • Améliorer l’efficacité opérationnelle, l’excellence et la capacité de mise à l’échelle de votre portefeuille d’entreprises afin d’optimiser la performance et de maximiser la rentabilité.
  • Stimuler la croissance des revenus en identifiant et en soutenant de nouvelles opportunités et stratégies de croissance, incluant la vente croisée et l’entrée sur de nouveaux marchés.
  • Piloter les initiatives et résoudre les enjeux liés aux ventes, à la réussite client ainsi qu’à la recherche et développement au sein de votre portefeuille d’entreprises.
  • Prioriser la satisfaction et la fidélisation de la clientèle en assurant des solutions solides, une prestation de services de qualité et un soutien client efficace au sein des sociétés de votre portefeuille.
  • Veiller à ce que les entreprises de votre portefeuille disposent de feuilles de route produits claires et bien exécutées, en équilibrant les investissements en recherche et développement et la maintenance afin de maximiser l’acquisition de nouveaux clients tout en conservant les clients existants.
  • Superviser l’élaboration et la mise en œuvre de stratégies produits complètes, alignées sur les tendances du marché et les objectifs d’affaires des entreprises de votre portefeuille.

Gestion financière

  • Assumer la responsabilité complète du P&L et se concentrer sur l’atteinte des principaux indicateurs financiers tels que les revenus, le ROI, l’EBITDA, la rétention client, etc.
  • Gérer l’allocation du capital et assurer une gestion financière efficace des entreprises de votre portefeuille, sur une base mensuelle, trimestrielle et annuelle.

Gestion et développement des équipes

  • Bâtir, encadrer et diriger des équipes hautement performantes au sein des entreprises de votre portefeuille.
  • Développer une culture d’excellence opérationnelle, l’amélioration continue, la collaboration et l’innovation.
  • Fournir une orientation claire et motiver les équipes à atteindre des jalons clés et à livrer des résultats mesurables.

Profil du candidat ou de la candidate

Expérience

  • Plus de 6 ans d’expérience en conseil en management et/ou au sein d’une entreprise technologique ou de logiciels.
  • Baccalauréat en administration, finance, ingénierie, économie ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Maîtrise en administration des affaires (MBA) (un atout important).
  • Expérience pertinente à titre de leader des opérations d’affaires avec une approche commerciale, centrée sur le client et axée sur l’amélioration continue.
  • Expérience dans un ou plusieurs des domaines suivants : ventes (acquisition de clients, pénétration de marché), service à la clientèle (support et services professionnels), développement de produits (recherche et développement) (un atout).
  • Solides compétences financières (gestion du P&L, budgétisation, prévisions).
  • Leader axé sur les personnes, avec une expérience démontrée dans la création, la direction, le développement et le mentorat d’équipes hautement performantes.
  • Expérience dans la mobilisation des équipes autour d’objectifs communs.
  • Excellentes capacités de réflexion stratégique et d’analyse, avec la capacité de traduire une vision en plans d’action concrets et d’obtenir des résultats.

Position Description

As we continue to expand our portfolio of vertical market software businesses, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as Managing Director. Reporting directly to one of our Investment Partners, the Managing Director will be responsible for managing and growing their businesses, with full ownership and accountability for the business. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader capable of driving operational excellence, organic growth and profitability, while fostering collaboration across teams to ensure the successful execution of business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Business strategy and operations

  • Execute within our operating model based on four pillars: strategy and positioning
  • of the business, operational excellence, growth, and product strategy and technology.
  • Identify, define and execute strategies required to achieve growth plans and operating objectives, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Drive operational efficiency and excellence and enhance scalability across your portfolio of businesses to optimize performance and maximize profitability.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and supporting new opportunities and growth strategies, including cross-selling and penetrating new markets.
  • Drive initiatives and solve challenges related to sales, customer success and research and development within your portfolio of businesses.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring strong solutions, service delivery and customer support within your portfolio companies.
  • Ensure your portfolio companies have clear product roadmaps established and executed on, balancing investments in research and development with maintenance to maximize new customer growth while retaining existing customers.
  • Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive product strategies aligned with market trends and the business objectives of the companies in your portfolio.

Financial management

  • Assume P&L responsibility and focus on achieving key financial metrics related to revenue, ROI, EBITDA, customer retention, etc.
  • Manage capital allocation and ensure efficient financial management of your portfolio companies, including on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Building effective teams

  • Build, coach and lead high-performing teams within your portfolio companies.
  • Cultivate a culture of performance, continuous improvement, collaboration and innovation.
  • Provide clear direction and motivate teams toward achieving key milestones and
  • delivering measurable results.

Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 6+ years’ experience in management consulting and/or experience in a technology or software business.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, economics, or any other relevant field.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) (a strong asset).
  • Relevant experience as a business operations leader with a commercial, customer centric and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: sales (customer acquisition, market penetration), customer service (support and professional services), product development (research and development) (an asset).
  • Financial acumen (P&L management, budget, forecast).
  • People-centric leader with experience successfully building, leading, developing, and mentoring a high performing team.
  • Experience mobilizing people toward a common goal.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into
  • actionable plans and drive results.
