The Role

The Director of Sales & Alliances, Asia will drive Intellect’s enterprise sales growth across our core Asian markets through direct sales and strategic alliances.

This is a hands-on leadership role with accountability for regional sales performance and an individual new business revenue target. You will lead and develop a team of Account Executives and SDRs while personally originating, owning and closing a focused portfolio of strategic enterprise opportunities.

We are looking for a strong enterprise seller and people leader who understands how to win complex deals, lead competitive RFPs and build trusted relationships with C-suite decision-makers. You should be equally comfortable setting market priorities, coaching a salesperson, leading an executive presentation and negotiating a contract.

You will work closely with Marketing, Revenue Operations and Partnerships to shape our sales go-to-market strategy, strengthen commercial discipline and build repeatable routes to growth. You will also partner with Clinical, Operations, Product and Finance to ensure our proposals deliver value for customers and are commercially sustainable.

Your Responsibilities

1. Revenue Ownership & Enterprise Selling

  • Own regional new business sales performance, translating revenue targets into clear market priorities, account plans and execution.
  • Carry an individual new business revenue target and personally own a focused portfolio of strategic deals through the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery to negotiation, contracting and close.
  • Build qualified pipeline through targeted outreach, executive networks, referrals and partner channels, alongside Marketing and SDR-led activity.
  • Navigate complex buying groups, uncover customer priorities, develop compelling business cases and secure access to economic buyers and executive sponsors.
  • Build and deepen relationships with CHROs, Chief People Officers, Total Rewards and Benefits leaders, and other senior stakeholders involved in enterprise buying decisions.

2. Sales Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach and develop Account Executives and SDRs, setting clear expectations for pipeline creation, opportunity progression and revenue delivery.
  • Run effective pipeline reviews, deal reviews and individual coaching, identifying performance gaps early and taking action to address them.
  • Develop the team’s capabilities in discovery, stakeholder mapping, multithreading, value articulation, executive engagement and negotiation.
  • Establish clear account and territory ownership; help shape hiring, team structure and incentives as the business scales.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance through direct feedback, recognition and timely performance management.

3. RFP Leadership & Complex Deal Strategy

  • Lead priority enterprise RFPs and tenders end to end, including bid qualification, go/no-go decisions, win strategy, proposal development, presentations and commercial negotiations.
  • Build each bid strategy around the customer’s priorities, evaluation criteria, competitive landscape and Intellect’s differentiated value.
  • Coordinate solution specialists and cross-functional contributors to deliver accurate, compelling proposals on time, with clear ownership of deliverables.
  • Lead customer engagement throughout the process, navigating procurement requirements and aligning stakeholders around the proposed solution.
  • Use win/loss reviews to improve bid selection, sales execution, proposals and competitive positioning.

4. Go-to-Market Strategy & Marketing Collaboration

  • Shape and execute the sales go-to-market strategy across Asia, prioritising markets, industries, customer segments and direct versus partner-led routes.
  • Partner with Marketing on target account selection, account-based campaigns, events and demand generation, with shared focus on qualified pipeline and revenue outcomes.
  • Establish clear lead handovers and follow-up standards, using conversion data and sales feedback to improve lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
  • Work with Marketing and Product to sharpen enterprise positioning, value propositions and sales narratives based on customer insights and competitive intelligence.
  • Translate market feedback into practical recommendations on offerings, packaging and growth opportunities.

5. Alliances & Ecosystem-Led Growth

  • Work with the Partnerships team to turn broker, insurer and other strategic relationships into qualified enterprise pipeline and revenue.
  • Develop joint account plans and sales initiatives that improve access to priority customers and markets.
  • Lead sales execution for agreed alliance-led opportunities, coordinating partner introductions, joint pitches and negotiations.
  • Establish clear opportunity ownership and handovers with Partnerships, aligning direct and partner-led activity to avoid channel conflict.
  • Evaluate alliance-led sales activity through pipeline quality, conversion and revenue contribution.

6. Revenue Operations & Commercial Discipline

  • Partner with Revenue Operations to strengthen the foundations for scale: CRM standards, pipeline stages, qualification criteria, forecasting, account planning and performance reporting.
  • Own adoption of these standards within Sales, maintaining accurate opportunity data, realistic forecasts and clear next steps.
  • Use pipeline coverage, conversion, sales cycle and productivity data to identify bottlenecks and improve performance; build repeatable playbooks across priority segments.
  • Help shape pricing, packaging and deal structures with Finance and relevant teams, balancing customer value, competitiveness, delivery requirements and sustainable margins.
  • Lead deal negotiations within agreed approval frameworks and ensure effective handovers to Client Success and Operations, with clear customer commitments and ownership of follow-on opportunities.

Requirements

Proven Enterprise Sales Leader

You have a track record of delivering B2B new business growth and leading sales teams against clear revenue targets. You have personally originated and closed complex enterprise deals and can explain your contribution to those wins.

Hands-On Player-Coach

You enjoy leading a team while continuing to own and close your own opportunities. You can balance personal selling with coaching, delegate effectively and step into team deals without creating confusion over ownership.

Experienced RFP Leader

You have led and won competitive enterprise RFPs or tenders. You bring sound judgment on which bids to pursue, how to differentiate a proposal and how to coordinate teams through demanding timelines and commercial negotiations.

Strong Enterprise Seller & Executive Relationship Builder

You understand long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, from discovery and business case development through procurement, legal review and contracting. You can engage credibly with C-suite leaders, develop executive sponsors and build new relationships through outreach, networks and partner introductions.

Disciplined Sales Operator

You understand pipeline generation, qualification, forecasting, territory planning, sales methodologies and performance management. You use data to improve decisions and execution, supported by sound judgment and a close understanding of your customers.

Commercially Strategic & Collaborative

You bring strong judgment on market priorities, pricing, positioning and deal economics. You work effectively with Marketing, Revenue Operations, Partnerships and delivery teams, aligning different perspectives around clear commercial outcomes.

Experienced Across Asian Markets

You have meaningful experience in Asian enterprise markets and understand differences in buying behaviour, procurement practices and market maturity. Experience across Singapore and other major Asian markets is strongly preferred.

Experience in enterprise SaaS, HR technology, employee benefits, healthcare, insurance, professional services or another complex B2B category is advantageous. Direct mental healthcare experience is not required.

Builder Mindset & Mission Alignment

You are comfortable in a growing business where processes continue to evolve. You bring structure, take ownership and adapt as you learn. You are motivated by expanding access to quality mental healthcare while building a commercially sustainable business.

What Success Looks Like

  • Delivery against regional and individual new business revenue targets.
  • A healthy enterprise pipeline, stronger conversion and reliable forecasting.
  • Strategic enterprise and RFP wins on commercially sound terms.
  • A capable, accountable sales team with improving productivity and performance.
  • Measurable pipeline and revenue from alliance-led sales.
  • Repeatable sales practices and effective collaboration across the teams supporting growth.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
