The posting

Chestnut Health is a high-growth, post-startup, provider-based healthcare organization headquartered in Oak Brook, IL. We deliver physiatry and rehabilitation services directly to patients in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). We are growing quickly in Illinois and across multiple states, and we are building a leadership team that can scale that growth.

We are at an exciting stage: big enough to have momentum, small enough that your work shapes the company. Leaders here roll up their sleeves, solve real problems, and then build the teams to carry the work forward.

The Role

Chestnut Health is looking for a seller-leader to drive growth as we expand into new markets. You will build relationships with corporate decision-makers at skilled nursing facility organizations, lead our sales strategy, and close deals yourself. As we grow, you will build and lead the team.

You will lead both top-down (corporate and executive relationships) and bottoms-up (facility-level) sales approaches. Both strategies are already underway with our business development team, and you will help execute and sharpen them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy for SNF organizations
  • Build relationships with corporate leadership at SNF operators and groups
  • Lead contract negotiations and close new partnerships
  • Lead and support the business development team on facility-level opportunities, stepping in when a deal needs senior involvement
  • Build the pipeline, forecast results, and report on growth
  • Travel to meet prospects and clients across multiple states
  • Work with operations, credentialing, and clinical leadership to ensure smooth onboarding of new facility clients
  • Recruit, coach, and manage sales team members as we grow
  • Represent Chestnut at industry events and in the market

What Success Looks Like

  • First 90 days: Present a sales plan and begin outreach to corporate SNF decision-makers
  • First year: New facility contracts signed in new states, a working pipeline, and a defined sales process
  • Longer term: A sales team in place and a repeatable, national growth engine

Who Thrives Here

Tenacious, resilient, assertive, and savvy. You are comfortable on the road and in the boardroom, and you hold yourself accountable for results.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience growing and scaling multi-state or national healthcare operations
  • At least 5 years in a SNF sales environment
  • Proven record of growth and closing results (with measurable examples)
  • Strong client-facing, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead both strategy and execution
  • Comfortable with frequent travel, up to weekly
  • Ability to present a sales strategy and plan during the interview process
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling physician or rehabilitation services to post-acute or long-term care organizations
  • Relationships with SNF corporate decision-makers
  • CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and pipeline reporting
  • Experience building or scaling a sales team in a growth-stage company

Benefits

  • 401(k)
  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Vision insurance

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
