Distribution Driver – 25 to 37.5 hours per week

Growing Places, www.growingplaces.org, a nonprofit healthy food access organization serving North Central Massachusetts, is seeking a Distribution Driver to support our year-round home delivery and wholesale distribution programs.

The Distribution Driver will operate a large refrigerated van or refrigerated box truck to deliver fresh, local food to households across 20+ North Central Massachusetts communities according to established delivery routes. The driver is responsible for safely operating the vehicle, loading and unloading food, maintaining product temperature and food safety standards, completing delivery documentation, and providing professional and friendly customer service. Routes will be pre-planned, but the driver must be comfortable navigating multiple communities, managing delivery schedules, and working independently.

This is a year-round, part-time position averaging 25 to 30 hours per week. We are willing to be flexible when establishing the initial schedule with the successful candidate.

  • Safely lift and carry 50 pounds or more repeatedly, including loading and unloading the delivery vehicle.
  • Operate a pallet jack and safely move loaded carts, pallets, and cases of food.
  • Maintain appropriate food temperatures and follow Growing Places’ food safety and handling procedures.
  • Complete delivery logs, temperature records, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with households, wholesale customers, farmers, and community partners.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and basic operational condition of the delivery vehicle.
  • Report vehicle, equipment, product, or delivery issues promptly to the Logistics Manager.
  • Represent Growing Places professionally and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
