Objectif du Poste:

L'Éditeur.rice Audio joue un rôle clé au sein de l'équipe Audio/Post-production au Side Montréal. En tant qu'Éditeur.rice Audio, vous devrez vous assurer que toutes les tâches, techniques et administratives, sont accomplies en temps opportun pour soutenir la livraison des ressources audio. Vous soutiendrez l'équipe d'enregistrement et de post-production, en aidant à garantir l'achèvement en temps voulu des livrables et des jalons.

Tâches et Responsabilités Clés:

  • Édition de Dialogue: Éditer et nettoyer les pistes de dialogue pour assurer la clarté, la cohérence et une qualité sonore élevée.
  • Réduction du Bruit: Appliquer des techniques de réduction du bruit pour éliminer les pops, bruits et artefacts indésirables.
  • Synchronisation: Assurer que le dialogue est parfaitement synchronisé avec les éléments visuels du projet, le cas échéant.
  • Contrôle de Qualité: Effectuer des contrôles de qualité pour maintenir les normes audio et la cohérence sur tous les projets. Travailler avec les outils et scripts fournis.
  • Collaboration: Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les ingénieurs du son, les concepteurs sonores et les autres membres de l'équipe pour obtenir le résultat audio souhaité.
  • Gestion des Fichiers: Organiser et gérer les fichiers audio, en appliquant la structure de nommage appropriée et en maintenant des enregistrements et des sauvegardes détaillés.
  • Dépannage Technique: Identifier et résoudre les problèmes techniques qui surviennent pendant le processus d'édition.

  • Adhérer aux procédures de Sécurité, de Confidentialité et de Santé et Sécurité de l'entreprise et assurer la conformité de l'équipe.
  • Adhérer aux procédures informatiques et RH de l'entreprise et assurer la conformité de l'équipe.
  • Comprendre le comportement éthique et les pratiques commerciales et veiller à ce que son propre comportement et celui des autres soient conformes à ces normes et alignés sur les valeurs de l'organisation.

Requirements

Connaissances, Expérience et Compétences:

  • Maîtrise de Pro Tools, Izotope RX, Excel.
  • Atout: connaissance ou maîtrise d'Adobe Audition.
  • Capacité à travailler dans des environnements Mac et PC.
  • Grande attention aux détails et oreille attentive à la qualité audio.
  • Capacité à résoudre efficacement les problèmes techniques.
  • Capacité à s'adapter et à apprendre de nouvelles compétences et logiciels.
  • Compétences solides en gestion du temps et en organisation.
  • Autonome, ingénieux et joueur d'équipe capable de bien travailler à tous les niveaux.

Qualifications:

  • Éducation: Un diplôme en ingénierie audio, en conception sonore ou dans un domaine connexe est préféré.
  • Expérience: Minimum d'un an d'expérience en édition de dialogues ou dans un domaine connexe.

Role: Dialogue Audio Editor (on-call)

Montreal, Canada

Purpose of Job:

The Audio Editor plays a key role within the Audio/Post team at Side Montreal. As an Audio Editor, you will need to ensure that all tasks, technical and administrative, are completed in a timely manner to support the delivery of audio assets. You will support the recording and post-production team, helping to ensure the timely completion of deliverables and milestones.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Dialogue Editing: Edit and clean up dialogue tracks to ensure clarity, consistency, and high-quality sound.
  • Noise Reduction: Apply noise reduction techniques to remove unwanted pops, noise and artefacts.
  • Synchronisation: Ensure dialogue is perfectly synchronised with the visual elements of the project, when applicable.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks to maintain audio standards and consistency across all projects. Work with provided tools and scripts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with recording engineers, sound designers, and other team members to achieve the desired audio outcome.
  • File Management: Organise and manage audio files, applying the proper filenaming struction and maintaining detailed records and backups.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any technical issues that arise during the editing process.

  • Adhere to company Security, Confidentiality and Health and Safety procedures and ensure the compliance of the team.
  • Adhere to the company IT and HR procedures and ensure the compliance of the team.
  • Understand ethical behaviour and business practices and ensure that own behaviour and the behaviour of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organisation.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Proficiency with Pro Tools, Izotope RX, Excel.
  • Nice to have: knowledge or proficiency with Adobe Audition.
  • Ability to work in both Mac and PC environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen ear for audio quality.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Able to adapt and learn new skills and software.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Self-driven, resourceful and a team player who can work well with all levels.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A degree or diploma in audio engineering, sound design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in dialogue editing or a related field.
