Myth vs Reality — the bar season edition

MYTH: “It’s just mixing cocktails all night.” REALITY: You manage bar operations in a structured hotel environment. You prepare drinks efficiently, maintain standards, and handle guest interaction professionally.

MYTH: “It’s basically a party job.” REALITY: Guests may be on holiday — you’re at work. You stay focused, fast, and precise during busy service hours.

MYTH: “It’s relaxed because it’s Greece.” REALITY: It’s a fast-paced hospitality role in Greece. You relocate for the season and work full-time in an international hotel environment.

MYTH: “Bar work abroad means chaos.” REALITY: You work within structured operations. You coordinate with service staff and management to ensure smooth evening flow.

MYTH: “There’s no lifestyle element.” REALITY: After shift, you’re still in Greece. Warm evenings, beach sunsets, international colleagues. It’s work — but it’s also a season abroad.

MYTH: “It’s just temporary and doesn’t matter.” REALITY: Bar operations in an international hotel build speed, coordination, communication skills and service confidence.

Important: This position is based in Greece. You relocate for the season and live near or on-site at the hotel. EU passport required.

If you’re confident behind the bar and ready for a professional season in Greece — apply now and join our bar team.

Requirements

MYTH: “Anyone can mix drinks.” REALITY: You should already understand basic bar knowledge. Classic cocktails, drink preparation, hygiene standards and bar workflow should not be new to you.

Benefits

MYTH: “Living abroad is expensive.” REALITY: Accommodation is organized before you arrive. Meals are included. No rental search, no deposits, no daily grocery stress.

MYTH: “You won’t save anything.” REALITY: With housing and food covered, many team members manage to save a significant part of their income during the season.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
