As an Early Head Start Home Visitor, you'll have the unique opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with expectant parents and families with infants and toddlers. You'll become a trusted partner, coach, and advocate, helping families celebrate milestones, overcome challenges, and create strong foundations for their children's future.

Every week, you'll meet families where they are, literally and figuratively. Through home visits, family events, and ongoing support, you'll help parents build confidence, strengthen their parenting skills, and support their child's growth and development.

You'll celebrate first words, first steps, new achievements, and family successes. You'll connect families with valuable resources, encourage healthy parent-child relationships, and provide support during times of transition and uncertainty.

What You'll Do

Partner with Families

  • Build trusting, collaborative relationships with expectant families and families with infants and toddlers.
  • Support parents in setting and achieving goals for themselves and their children.
  • Connect families with community resources and services that help them thrive.
  • Encourage family engagement, leadership, and advocacy.

Support Early Learning and Development

  • Conduct weekly home visits focused on child development, school readiness, and family well-being.
  • Partner with parents to create engaging learning experiences using everyday routines and materials.
  • Help families understand and celebrate their child's developmental progress.
  • Support children with individualized learning and developmental goals.

Create Community Connections

  • Plan and facilitate family socializations and group experiences each month.
  • Provide opportunities for families to learn from and support one another.
  • Collaborate with health providers, community agencies, and program staff to ensure comprehensive services.

PAY RATE: $21.06 per hour

Requirements

We're Looking for Someone Who

Essential Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Family Studies, Social Work, Psychology, Adult Education, or a related field; OR a minimum of Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Home Visitor or Infant Toddler; or comparable credential; bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with adults and preschool children, infants, and toddlers preferred.
  • Home visiting experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
