The posting

Sécheron Hasler Group builds on 140+ years of Swiss engineering and is a global leader in traction power systems and electrical solutions for railway and energy sectors.

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and turning requirements into clear, functional solutions.

In this role, you will work on electrical design for traction power systems, adapting and configuring proven products for different projects. Each project is different, bringing new challenges instead of repetitive work.

It’s a role for someone who likes to think — understanding systems, designing logic, and making things work reliably in real-world applications.

Why join us?

  • Work you can be proud of – systems used in critical infrastructure worldwide
  • Every project is different, with real technical depth
  • Balance between structured solutions and engineering thinking
  • Stable company with a strong long-term perspective
  • Structured onboarding and gradual ramp-up in responsibility
  • A collaborative environment where people support each other
  • An opportunity to build a valuable and unique skillset over time

What you will do

  • Create and modify electrical schematics including creation of logic diagrams
  • Analyse project requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Adapt existing designs to meet project-specific requirements
  • Work with software engineers to link electrical designs with automated applications
  • Provide technical support during the project lifecycle
  • Review and refine designs to ensure functionality and quality
  • Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation
  • Work closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, and test engineers

Requirements

  • High school / university degree in electrical engineering / automation
  • Some experience in electrical design and schematic creation
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects in parallel
  • Good command of English and Czech/Slovak
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics software - SchemELECT, AUTOCAD and ERP system an advantage.

You don’t need experience in our specific niche — what matters most is your mindset and your ability to work with logic and systems.

Benefits

  • Flexible working hours and a hybrid working model
  • Flat hierarchy with quick decision-making and an open, approachable culture
  • Work in a dynamic and fast-evolving field with visible results
  • Wide range of benefits, including meal vouchers, 13th salary, and 5 weeks of annual leave etc.
  • Language courses and support for professional development
  • Cafeteria benefit system and pension contribution (available after the first year)
  • Contribution to MultiSport card
  • Transport allowance
  • A stable yet growing international environment

Sécheron Hasler Group is committed to creating a diverse & inclusive environment and hence welcomes applications from all sections of the community.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
