The posting

We are looking for a mid to senior-level Electrical Engineers who can execute electrical design for commercial high-rise and complex building projects within an MEP engineering environment, with direct ownership of design and documentation. The role will support projects including high-rise offices, condominiums, hotels, municipal facilities, industrial buildings, airports, and other complex structures. The engineer will work closely with other MEP disciplines to develop coordinated electrical systems from design through construction documentation. This is a full-time, in-office position in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is best suited for a local engineer currently working within an MEP consulting environment. Feller Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical designs and construction documents for high-rise commercial buildings, condominiums, hotels, and other complex facilities.
  • Produce and revise electrical drawings, layouts, details, and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Design electrical systems in accordance with project requirements, applicable codes, and engineering standards.
  • Review architectural and MEP drawings to identify design conflicts and maintain coordinated construction documents.
  • Perform electrical calculations, equipment selections, load requirements, and system layouts as required for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and life safety disciplines throughout the design process.
  • Review project documentation and drawings for accuracy, constructability, and consistency before issuance.
  • Support project teams through construction documentation and respond to technical questions related to electrical design.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of electrical engineering or electrical building design experience, preferably within an MEP consulting firm.
  • Direct experience designing electrical systems for high-rise buildings or other complex commercial projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD for electrical design and construction documentation.
  • Experience with commercial building projects such as offices, condominiums, hotels, airports, industrial facilities, or similar complex structures.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, electrical, and other MEP construction documents.
  • Strong understanding of electrical building systems, applicable codes, and engineering design practices.
  • Must have direct electrical design and documentation experience rather than primarily administrative or project coordination experience.
  • Local South Florida MEP engineering experience strongly preferred; residential-only electrical experience will not be sufficient.

Benefits

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.

Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plan options, paid time off, and other company-sponsored programs.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
