The posting

Imagine this You are designing the electromagnetic foundation behind next generation autonomous aerospace systems. As an EM and Antenna Engineer, you will develop, simulate, and optimize advanced RF and mmWave technologies that enable reliable communications, navigation, sensing, and radar performance across Destinus platforms. From antenna integration to radar cross section analysis, your work will directly influence the performance and survivability of our UAVs in demanding operational environments.

At Destinus, we are revolutionizing the defense industry with cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our innovative technologies are designed to meet the unique demands of modern defense operations, delivering unparalleled speed, precision, and cost effectiveness. Destinus partners with government agencies and defense organizations worldwide to provide advanced solutions for mission-critical operations, enabling a new era of efficiency and technological superiority. Join us in shaping the future of defense with groundbreaking aerospace innovations.

What You'll Do

  • Perform electromagnetic simulations of RF and mmWave designs using industry leading simulation tools
  • Analyze complex electromagnetic structures and present simulation results with clear technical recommendations to the engineering team
  • Identify opportunities to improve RF performance through simulation driven design optimization
  • Conduct Radar Cross Section simulations for both Destinus platforms and external airborne vehicles to support threat assessment and signature reduction activities
  • Design and optimize radomes that balance electromagnetic performance with structural and environmental requirements
  • Lead the integration of antenna systems across UAV platforms, ensuring reliable performance of navigation, communication, radar, and other wireless subsystems
  • Optimize the coexistence of multiple antenna systems by evaluating placement, coupling, and electromagnetic interactions
  • Design and evaluate antenna elements and arrays for aerospace applications
  • Support antenna validation through laboratory, field, and anechoic chamber measurements, including radiation patterns, reflection coefficients, and other key performance metrics
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across RF, avionics, systems engineering, mechanical design, and flight testing to deliver fully integrated solutions

Requirements

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong experience with electromagnetic simulation using Ansys HFSS
  • Familiarity with HFSS 3D Layout, PyAEDT, or Microwave Office AWR is considered an advantage
  • Programming experience in Python and or MATLAB for automation, simulation, and data analysis
  • Experience performing Radar Cross Section simulations of airborne vehicles and complex subsystems
  • Strong understanding of radome design and electromagnetic materials
  • Knowledge of frequency selective surfaces and metamaterials is a plus
  • Experience designing and simulating complex multiport electromagnetic structures
  • Experience with antenna element and antenna array design
  • Knowledge of conformal antenna design is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of antenna selection, placement, and performance optimization for UAV applications
  • Experience integrating multiple antenna systems while minimizing electromagnetic interference and maximizing subsystem coexistence
  • Knowledge of antenna measurement techniques in both field and anechoic chamber environments
  • Professional proficiency in English

Who You Are

You are passionate about solving complex electromagnetic challenges and enjoy transforming simulation results into practical engineering solutions. You combine analytical thinking with a hands on engineering mindset and thrive when collaborating across multidisciplinary teams. You take ownership of your work, communicate technical concepts clearly, and continuously look for opportunities to improve system performance. Fast paced development environments motivate you, and you are excited by the opportunity to contribute to the next generation of autonomous aerospace technologies.

Security screening is an integral component of the selection process, ensuring that candidates meet the organization's security standards and safeguarding against potential risks.

Providing a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is a standard part of the application process at Destinus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
