With a focus on operational excellence, we deliver value through our customized integrated solutions. This approach reduces risk and enhances efficiencies making us a leading and trusted partner every step of the way.

Role Overview

The Engineering Graduate will support the delivery of engineering and operational activities across EnerMech projects, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, global oil & gas and industrial services environment. The role is designed to develop technical capability, commercial awareness, and field readiness through structured rotations and on-the-job learning.

As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at EnerMech, you won’t just be watching from the sidelines. You’ll get hands-on exposure to real projects, equipment and operations, working alongside experienced engineers and technicians and building your career from day one.

  • Get hands-on with real engineering – support the maintenance, inspection, testing and preparation of mechanical equipment used on live projects.
  • Solve real-world problems – work alongside experienced engineers and technicians to troubleshoot mechanical challenges and find practical solutions.
  • Experience life in the field – gain exposure to onshore and offshore operations and see how engineering solutions are delivered in real working environments.
  • Be part of major projects – contribute to mobilisation plans, project schedules, resource planning and the preparation of equipment for deployment.
  • Turn engineering theory into practice – work with drawings, specifications, calculations, technical documentation and client requirements.
  • See projects from start to finish – gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and equipment preparation through to mobilisation, execution and close-out.
  • Make safety part of how you engineer – contribute to risk assessments, safety planning and safe systems of work.
  • Work across the business – collaborate with engineering, operations, project management, procurement and other teams to understand how successful projects come together.
  • Build your commercial mindset – learn how engineering decisions connect to project costs, labour, materials, logistics and overall project performance.
  • Learn from industry experts – work alongside experienced professionals, developing your technical knowledge, confidence and understanding of EnerMech’s equipment, services and technologies.
  • Build the foundations of your career – develop a broad mix of technical, operational, project and commercial experience designed to prepare you for your next step within EnerMech.

Development & Learning

  • Participate in a structured graduate development programme
  • Gain exposure across multiple service lines (e.g. cranes, lifting, hydraulics, or process services depending on business line)
  • Receive mentorship from experienced engineers and operational leaders
  • Build understanding of project lifecycle from bid through to execution and close-out

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline
  • 0–2 years’ experience (internships or placements advantageous)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel and work in field environments when required
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and industry standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Ready to get stuck in – proactive, hands-on and keen to learn.
  • An eye for detail – you care about doing things properly (and safely).
  • Curious by nature – you want to understand how and why things work.
  • A team player – comfortable working with different people to get things done.
  • Adaptable – because in the real world, plans sometimes change.
  • The right attitude – we don’t expect you to know everything. That’s what the graduate programme is for.

Diversity & Inclusion

EnerMech is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive organization. We believe that diversity enriches our team, and we welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, cultures, and identities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
