The posting

Position Overview:

The Enterprise SharePoint Services Representative (ESSR) will serve as a technical and functional expert for SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365, supporting the architecture, configuration, and day‑to‑day sustainment of the National Guard Bureau (NGB) Knowledge Management System (KMS). The position will work closely with Knowledge Management Analysts, SMEs, and mission partners to ensure the system is intuitive, reliable, secure, and aligned with enterprise Knowledge Management (KM) governance.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of platform engineering, user experience, and enterprise collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and enhance SharePoint Online sites, libraries, content types, permissions, and workflows supporting the NGB KMS.
  • Implement metadata schemas, taxonomy structures, and content governance rules to ensure consistency and discoverability across the enterprise.
  • Develop automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline content ingestion, approvals, lifecycle management, and archival processes.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting, user support, and platform guidance to NGB directorates and mission partners.
  • Collaborate with KM Analysts to translate governance requirements into functional SharePoint solutions.
  • Support enterprise search optimization, navigation design, and user experience improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with NGB security, access control, and information governance policies.
  • Assist in preparing the KMS for future AI‑enabled capabilities, including structured content organization for Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).

Preferred Experience

  • Prior support to federal agencies or large enterprise KM programs.
  • Familiarity with NGB mission sets, organizational structure, and collaboration requirements.
  • Experience supporting content governance, enterprise search, or structured knowledge‑capture activities.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years of experience administering or developing in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong understanding of site architecture, permissions models, content types, and metadata/taxonomy management.
  • Experience with workflow automation (Power Automate) and enterprise collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders in a complex, multi‑directorate environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and customer‑support skills.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
