The posting

Reasonable is the applied AI research company building formal verification for super-human software development.

Correctness guarantees for software developed by humans and machines are no longer impractical or prohibitively expensive. Code generated by AI can be provably correct, rather than plausibly functional. At Reasonable, we are doing the research, training the models, and developing the products required to make this a reality. Achieving this creates a new paradigm for high accountability software development and unlocks the full potential of AI for professional engineers.

We’re a compact, talent-dense technical team, with deep domain expertise in machine learning, formal verification and mathematical models of program semantics. Join us to support the next frontier of formal reasoning and software engineering.

Proof follows function.

The Role As Executive Assistant, you will play a key early role at the core of Reasonable's operations. It's a tight, high-trust partnership between you and our founder-CEO, reporting directly to our Head of Operations to help the company scale.

This is a rare opportunity: a front-row view and key supporting role in how a deep-tech company gets built, working directly with the founders as they build and scale one of Europe’s most exciting tech startups.

Your focus will be inbox and calendar ownership, prioritization, and proactive problem solving:

  • own the CEO's inbox: triage, draft and flag responses, keep it at zero or close to it
  • drive items that need the founder's attention, act as eyes and ears for them, serve as the information hub for inbox and information flow
  • own end-to-end calendar management for our founders, including scheduling, prioritization, and resolving conflicts across time zones
  • ruthlessly prioritize for impact: act as gatekeeper for founder time and energy so they can focus on what matters most
  • build out a lightweight daily/weekly system for surfacing what needs attention now vs. later
  • prepare the CEO for meetings: agendas, briefing notes on who they're meeting and why, and follow-ups so nothing slips
  • support hiring as we scale: coordinate interviews, onsites and candidate communication for the CEO, so every candidate has a first-class experience
  • process ad hoc requests expeditiously and proactively: proactively solve problems before they escalate, from prep materials for key meetings to last-minute logistics
  • report to and collaborate with Operations: proactively contribute to building out support systems, create and refine processes for scheduling, information flow, and task tracking
  • help make Reasonable a place people love to work: support organizing team rituals, offsites, and the logistics behind them
  • learn to use frontier AI tools aggressively to automate the repetitive parts of your own role; we're an AI company, and our operations reflect that

We're an early-stage team tackling hard problems, and no two weeks look alike. Our roles require adaptability, but in return we adapt to your strengths. The entry point is advanced executive assistance practice, alongside a strong problem-solver mindset.

Requirements

We're looking for

  • Experience as an Executive Assistant supporting C-level executives and/or founders, in a startup or fast-scaling environment
  • Strong calendar defense practice: protecting time, help scheduling internal and external meetings, prevent conflicts and help founders use their time efficiently
  • Professionalism in communication and responsiveness, both in English and Hungarian
  • Evidence of prioritizing effectively, ability to triage: judgment over administration
  • A builder, not an executor mindset: you'd rather design a system than repeat a task
  • Strong people instincts: you know when to step in, when to push back, and when to stay out of the way
  • Comfortable operating with minimal direction in a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment

Bonus Points If You

  • Have previously worked on travel, event organization, or office management
  • Have worked inside an early-stage, high-growth organization and seen what changes as a company grows
  • Gained experience in deep tech or research organizations
  • Are already using AI tools in your daily workflow

This is an unusual profile. If that’s you, get in touch. If you are close to it, we still want to hear from you! If you know someone that would be ideal, we always reward great introductions.

Benefits

  • Compensation: Generous salary, with equity and additional benefits
  • Location: Budapest, Hungary, with flexibility for team and conference travel - we're an on-site team
  • World-class team and environment: an opportunity to build alongside deeply experienced founders, in a well-funded company that’s backed by industry leading VCs and angels including Oriol Vinyals, Zoubin Ghahramani, Jonathan Frankle and Guy Podjarny, amongst many others

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
