The posting

Control Risks is seeking an Executive Security Driver to support a major global life sciences client in the Boston / Cambridge area. The successful candidate will serve as a junior executive protection agent with strong secure transportation and protective driving capability in support of the client’s Massachusetts-based Chief Executive Officer.

This is not a chauffeur-only position. The Executive Security Driver will operate as an armed executive protection professional who also provides secure transportation. The role requires someone who understands the protective mission, can support advance work and movement planning, and can contribute meaningfully to a small executive protection team.

The Executive Security Driver will work under the direction of the Senior Executive Protection Manager and alongside the Executive Protection Agent and Protective Intelligence Analyst. The ideal candidate will bring executive protection experience, sound judgment, formal protective driving training, strong situational awareness, and the maturity to operate discreetly in a low-profile corporate environment.

  • Provide armed and unarmed executive protection during daily activities, meetings, events, domestic travel, and international travel.
  • Deliver secure, discreet, and professional transportation for executives and authorized passengers.
  • Conduct advance work, site assessments, route reconnaissance, and movement planning.
  • Develop and execute protective security plans and contingency procedures.
  • Monitor the operating environment and identify potential security concerns, threats, or vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate with executive assistants, corporate stakeholders, venue security, law enforcement, transportation providers, and external partners.
  • Maintain readiness to respond to emergencies, medical incidents, security threats, and crisis situations.
  • Support airport movements, hotel arrivals, executive events, off-site meetings, and high-profile engagements.
  • Ensure assigned vehicles remain maintained, fueled, equipped, and operationally ready.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, incident reports, travel documentation, and security assessments.
  • Demonstrate the highest levels of discretion, confidentiality, professionalism, and executive service.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-8 years of Executive Protection experience supporting corporate executives, high-net-worth individuals, government officials, or public figures.
  • Active LEOSA (HR-218/HR-214) credential required.
  • Accredited Executive Protection certification from a recognized provider such as ASIS, Executive Security International (ESI), PFC Training, EPI, LaSorsa & Associates, or equivalent.
  • Accredited Protective Driving, Evasive Driving, or Protective Operations Driving certification required.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
  • Experience conducting advance work, threat assessments, and protective operations.
  • Experience performing executive transportation and protective driving assignments.
  • Ability to lawfully carry a firearm and obtain any required state permits or licenses.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous law enforcement, federal agency, military special operations, diplomatic security, or government protective services experience.
  • ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification.
  • Experience supporting C-suite executives in a corporate environment.
  • Surveillance detection or protective intelligence experience.
  • Emergency medical, trauma care, or tactical medicine training.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
