The posting

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Field Infrastructure Technician to support onsite installations and service for small-to-mid-sized businesses across Eastern North Carolina and occasional out-of-state projects.

  • Install and mount network switches, wireless access points, and related hardware
  • Pull and terminate network cable; test and verify cable runs
  • Assist with rack organization and structured cabling projects
  • Deploy workstations (physical setup, power, network connection, verification)
  • Replace UPS batteries and test power systems
  • Perform basic hardware troubleshooting onsite
  • Clearly communicate with clients while onsite
  • Escalate complex issues to senior technicians when needed

🔹 What This Role Is NOT

  • A remote helpdesk role
  • A cybersecurity analyst role

🔹 Technical Experience That Helps

  • Experience with low-voltage cabling or structured wiring
  • Familiarity with network equipment installation
  • Basic Windows workstation setup and troubleshooting
  • ISP/telecom (VoIP NOT Analog) or field service experience
  • Comfort working with tools and ladders

You do NOT need to be a systems engineer to succeed here.

🔹 Qualifications

  • Valid North Carolina driver’s license and reliable transportation (out of state candidates must acquire in state license before beginning work)
  • Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained
  • Willingness to travel as required

🔹 Required With Application

Please include a brief response (3–5 sentences):

Describe a hands-on technical project or installation you’ve completed and how you verified it was done correctly.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
