Full Stack Engineer

Next.js, React, Python, AI & Marketing Technology | Remote | EST Hours

Position Type: Full-Time, Remote Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours – EST

About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients—a fast-growing marketing agency serving 150+ home service businesses—is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to build and scale the technology powering its marketing, lead generation, tracking, and revenue operations.

This is a hands-on builder role, not a strategy-only engineering position.

You’ll work across:

  • Full-stack application development
  • Marketing data and attribution
  • Meta Pixel & Conversion API (CAPI)
  • AI-powered marketing workflows
  • CRM integrations and automation
  • Internal dashboards and operational tools

You’ll work directly with leadership, media buyers, and operators to turn real business problems into production-ready systems that improve campaign performance, lead conversion, and operational efficiency.

If you’re a strong full-stack engineer who understands both software engineering and performance marketing technology, this role is a strong fit.

What You’ll Own

Full-Stack & Internal Tool Development — Primary Focus

Build, deploy, and maintain internal applications using:

  • Next.js
  • React
  • Python

You’ll:

  • Develop marketing dashboards and reporting systems
  • Build internal operational tools used by media buyers and teams
  • Replace repetitive manual workflows with scalable software
  • Develop reliable backend services and integrations
  • Take systems from concept through production deployment
  • Continuously improve tools based on real user and campaign needs

Marketing Data, Tracking & Attribution — Core Focus

Own and improve the technical infrastructure connecting advertising performance to actual business outcomes.

You’ll:

  • Implement and optimize Meta Pixel
  • Work hands-on with Meta Conversion API (CAPI)
  • Configure accurate event tracking
  • Handle event deduplication
  • Improve attribution accuracy
  • Troubleshoot tracking discrepancies
  • Build pipelines connecting:

Ad Platforms → Backend Systems → CRM → Reporting Dashboards

Develop reporting systems that give teams visibility into metrics such as:

  • ROAS
  • CPL
  • CAC
  • Conversion rates
  • Lead quality
  • Campaign performance

AI Integration & Marketing Automation

Build AI directly into live marketing and operational workflows.

Use APIs such as OpenAI and similar AI platforms to develop systems for:

  • Ad copy generation
  • Creative ideation
  • Lead scoring
  • Lead qualification
  • Campaign analysis
  • Performance insights
  • Automated reporting
  • Operational workflow automation

This role requires someone who actively uses modern AI tools—not someone with only theoretical exposure.

CRM & Lead Lifecycle Automation — Critical

Integrate and automate CRM platforms such as:

  • GoHighLevel
  • Close CRM
  • HubSpot
  • Similar CRM systems

Build workflows connecting the entire lead lifecycle:

Lead Capture → CRM → Routing → Follow-Up → Pipeline → Conversion → Attribution

You’ll also:

  • Automate lead routing and assignment
  • Build pipeline management workflows
  • Configure webhooks and API integrations
  • Sync CRM conversion outcomes back to advertising platforms
  • Support offline conversion and CAPI event tracking
  • Maintain data consistency across systems
  • Troubleshoot broken integrations and automation workflows

APIs, Webhooks & Systems Integration

Build reliable connections between marketing and operational platforms.

You’ll work extensively with:

  • REST APIs
  • Webhooks
  • Third-party integrations
  • Automation platforms
  • CRM APIs
  • Advertising APIs
  • AI APIs
  • Backend data flows

Ensure systems remain accurate, scalable, and reliable as campaign volume grows.

Rapid Execution & Iteration

This is a fast-moving environment where engineering directly impacts revenue.

You’ll:

  • Ship production-ready solutions quickly
  • Test systems using real campaign data
  • Iterate based on performance and user feedback
  • Work closely with media buyers to identify bottlenecks
  • Troubleshoot operational and technical issues
  • Prioritize solutions that create measurable business impact
  • Balance speed with reliability and maintainability

Required Experience & Skills

Non-Negotiables

  • 4–6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
  • Strong full-stack development experience with:
  • React
  • Next.js
  • Python
  • Proven experience building and deploying production-level applications or internal tools
  • Strong experience with:
  • APIs
  • Webhooks
  • Third-party integrations
  • Automation systems
  • Active use of AI tools in day-to-day engineering work

Marketing / Ad Tech Experience

Hands-on experience in a marketing, advertising, performance marketing, or ad tech environment is required.

You should have experience with:

  • Meta Pixel and/or Conversion API (CAPI)
  • Event tracking
  • Event deduplication
  • Attribution
  • Marketing analytics
  • Campaign reporting
  • Advertising data pipelines

Experience building dashboards or reporting systems for paid marketing campaigns—particularly Meta Ads—is strongly preferred.

CRM & Automation Experience

Hands-on experience integrating or automating platforms such as:

  • GoHighLevel
  • Close CRM
  • HubSpot
  • Similar CRM systems

You should understand:

  • Lead capture
  • Lead routing
  • Pipeline management
  • Follow-up automation
  • Conversion tracking
  • Offline events
  • CRM-to-ad-platform attribution

Nice to Have

  • Experience working inside a performance marketing agency
  • Experience supporting high-volume lead generation campaigns
  • Familiarity with paid media metrics such as:
  • ROAS
  • CPL
  • CAC
  • Conversion rate
  • Experience with:
  • Zapier
  • Make
  • Similar automation platforms
  • Understanding of marketing data pipelines
  • Familiarity with attribution challenges caused by:
  • iOS privacy changes
  • Browser restrictions
  • Cookie limitations
  • Experience supporting home services or local lead-generation businesses

What Makes You a Strong Fit

You:

  • Are a builder first
  • Prefer shipping working systems over creating theoretical architecture
  • Understand how engineering connects to marketing performance and revenue
  • Can move comfortably between frontend, backend, APIs, CRM systems, and marketing technology
  • Troubleshoot problems independently
  • Understand attribution beyond simply installing a tracking pixel
  • Use AI practically in your development workflow
  • Work well with non-technical stakeholders such as media buyers and operators
  • Move quickly without sacrificing system reliability
  • Take ownership from problem identification through deployment

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Your day may include:

  • Building a new internal tool in Next.js and React
  • Developing Python backend functionality
  • Troubleshooting Meta CAPI or Pixel tracking
  • Investigating attribution discrepancies
  • Connecting CRM conversion data to advertising platforms
  • Building or improving a marketing performance dashboard
  • Creating an AI-powered lead qualification workflow
  • Developing API or webhook integrations
  • Automating repetitive operational processes
  • Meeting with media buyers to understand campaign bottlenecks
  • Shipping improvements and monitoring their real-world impact

In short: you build the technology layer connecting advertising, leads, CRM data, AI, attribution, and revenue operations.

Key Metrics for Success

  • Internal tools successfully adopted by media buyers and operators
  • Reduced manual work across marketing and CRM workflows
  • Accurate and reliable conversion tracking
  • Improved attribution across advertising and CRM systems
  • Faster campaign reporting and operational execution
  • Reliable integrations and data flows
  • Increased automation across repetitive processes
  • AI systems delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, lead quality, or conversion

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Build systems with direct impact on marketing performance and revenue
  • Work across full-stack engineering, AI, marketing technology, and automation
  • Solve real attribution and lead-generation problems
  • High ownership over technical execution
  • Direct collaboration with leadership and performance marketing teams
  • Exposure to 150+ home service businesses and significant campaign data
  • Opportunity to build systems that become core infrastructure for a growing agency
  • Fully remote environment

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
