Procon seeks an experienced professional to support a high-visibility federal program providing technical and project management services across a diverse portfolio of facilities and infrastructure projects. The position will work directly with Government representatives, subcontractors, and dealership project managers to coordinate and support project delivery at locations throughout the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), with travel required as project needs dictate. The role also includes hands-on furniture and facility support, including minor furniture installations and reconfigurations, product handling and unboxing, inventory management, and storage activities. This long-term opportunity offers exposure to a wide range of federal facility and project management challenges while supporting mission readiness and a critical national program.

This position does not offer employment visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required; clearance associated with the client is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a furniture installer, project manager, or in a comparable role supporting projects of similar scope and complexity.
  • Strong knowledge of systems furniture, including components and materials required for workstation installation and reconfiguration. Knowledge of furniture manufacturers and products applicable to the contract.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, floor plans, and furniture layouts.
  • Proven problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to quickly resolve project and field issues.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with government representatives, contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required.
  • Experience with ARCHIBUS, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), and developing project plans and technical documentation is desired.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate furniture installation projects from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with Government requirements, quality standards, schedules, and project specifications.
  • Support CONUS and OCONUS BPA Call Orders and provide project and installation management support based on project requirements and workload.
  • Lead installation teams, subcontractors, and dealership project managers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Government representatives, contractors, furniture vendors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Manage project planning, specification reviews, scheduling, meetings, quality control, installation activities, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including agendas, meeting minutes, schedules, inventories, trackers, and other required records on designated Government systems.
  • Support installation phasing, sequencing, and process improvement recommendations.
  • Coordinate site access, visitor clearances, and escort requirements for installers and other personnel at Government facilities.
  • Conduct site visits, walkthroughs, quality inspections, and final punch-list reviews with vendors and the Government COR.
  • Perform quality control reviews and support preparation of red-line and as-built drawings and related project documentation.
  • Manage furniture service requests, including repairs, reconfigurations, seating, and signage.
  • Review subcontractor installation packages, including floor plans, furniture layouts, electrical/data plans, panel elevations, renderings, notes, and bills of materials for compliance with Government and OSHA requirements.
  • Coordinate furniture installation plans with Construction Project Managers, including electrical and IT requirements, to support functionality, efficiency, and security compliance.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular onsite presence in an active construction environment. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

  • Walking and standing for extended periods while performing site observations and inspections.
  • Navigating active construction areas, including stairs, uneven surfaces, temporary walkways, and varying elevations.
  • Occasionally bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and climbing as necessary to observe construction activities.
  • Accessing mechanical, electrical, utility, process, and other construction areas as required.
  • Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and complying with all applicable site safety requirements.
  • Working in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to typical construction-site conditions, including noise, dust, weather, and temperature fluctuations.
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
