The posting

The role of the “Technical Manager” is to be responsible for all technical requirements for all typologies Attraction rides and

devices within the complex. Thise role will involve active participation during Detailed Design stage through to ride and device installation onsite, working alongside consultants & manufacturers, aiming to implement SEVEN’s maintenance requirements, processes & technical pre & post opening requirements, ensuring operational readiness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Managerial & Strategic Responsibilities

  • Active collaboration with operation & project attraction team and several project management consultants.
  • Close communication with ride manufacturers engaged with the SEVEN portfolio.
  • Deal with best international safety practices and local authorities’ regulators in KSA.
  • Manage the technical requirements of rides/devices during their implementation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work closely with SEVEN’s Operation & Project Attraction team to support the maintenance strategy in line with the business operation plan of each complex.
  • Review and comment on Concept, Schematic, and Detail Design package reports in alliance with SEVEN’s Project Strategy and protocols.
  • Evaluate local and international market opportunities, including contractors, specialist suppliers, service providers, certified spare parts distributors, and trading companies.
  • Work closely with the QHSE team in the development and implementation of ISO systems and certifications.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with maintenance strategy management, including:
  • Planned maintenance scheduling and compliance with industry standards and manufacturer requirements.
  • Corrective maintenance management and root cause analysis.
  • Planned maintenance task completion and KPI tracking.
  • Annual certification/recertification of attractions rides and devices.
  • Emergency evacuation procedure compliance.
  • Calibration and certification schedules for tools and equipment.
  • Technical team competency development and training management.
  • Spare parts strategy and stock availability.
  • Ride and device modifications in collaboration with manufacturers and IB.
  • Asset management systems and operating module uploads.
  • Ride and device readiness and reliability.
  • Compliance with QHSE policies and sustainability requirements.
  • O&M Manuals, Technical Bulletins, and Service Bulletins management.
  • Development and review of technical documents, SOPs, technical manuals, troubleshooting guides, evacuation procedures, PM checklists, REHAB and NDT schedules.
  • Monthly operational reporting.
  • Develop, forecast, monitor, and achieve operational budgets, including CAPEX and pre-opening expenses.
  • Develop and achieve departmental and company objectives, action plans, and KPIs.

People Management Responsibilities

  • Strong communication skills in English; written and spoken Arabic is preferable.
  • Interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong visionary leadership.
  • Strategy implementation and time management skills.
  • Cultural awareness.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the leisure and attraction industry, preferably within theme parks.
  • Familiarity with EN13814 and ASTM F24 ride standards.
  • Experience with attraction rides, wind tunnels, dark rides, climbing walls, e-karting, and playground systems.
  • Proven experience in theme park/FEC ride maintenance and certification processes.
  • Strong knowledge of roller coaster maintenance, rehabilitation, certification, evacuation procedures, and LOTO.
  • Experience with thrill rides, family rides, kiddie rides, climbing walls, and related attraction system
