Accountant

  1. Financial Record Keeping:
  2. Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
  3. Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  4. Preparation of Financial Statements:
  5. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  6. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.
  7. Reconciliations:
  8. Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  9. Identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  10. Supporting Audits:
  11. Prepare financial documentation for audits.
  12. Assist in the coordination of external audits.
  13. Budget Monitoring:
  14. Assist in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures.
  15. Provide variance reports to management.
  16. Compliance:
  17. Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  18. Stay updated on changes in financial legislation and best practices.
  19. Accounting Software:
  20. Utilize accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) for transactions and reporting.
  21. Assist in implementing new financial software solutions.
  22. Internal Controls:
  23. Assist in maintaining and enforcing internal controls.
  24. Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.
  25. Team Collaboration:
  26. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
  27. Support the finance team in various ad-hoc projects and tasks.

Requirements

Educational Background

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional Experience

  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis functions.

Certifications

  • ZAT or IFRS other relevant certification is a plus but not required.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
