The posting

If you don't see a relevant role but you are excellent at something that you think matters to us, please apply here.

Minerva Defence is one of the fastest-growing defence technology companies in Europe. We create the software, hardware and networking that make unmanned systems effective on the modern battlefield, all ideated, designed and manufactured end-to-end in the UK, and in active use today. We are deliberately low-profile: a team of around 70, small in headcount and outsized in effect. We look for people who are not just talented but genuinely committed to the work, the team, and the purpose behind it.

Minerva is growing fast and requires talented individuals across engineering, networking, operations, training and support. If you feel like you are a good fit and are motivated by our mission we encourage you to apply.

People we are always in the market for:

  • Engineers who have taken hardware from a first sketch to something that survives the real world
  • Software people who want the distance between writing something and someone relying on it measured in days
  • Autonomy, navigation and control specialists who have made machines behave in messy conditions
  • Builders who have shipped a physical product end to end, not just a prototype
  • Operators and domain experts who have used systems like ours and know what actually matters
  • People who have run something hard: a team, a programme, a production line, a crisis
  • Generalists with a track record of learning a new field fast and becoming the person others rely on

Requirements

Minimum:

  • Competence. You are genuinely excellent at your discipline.
  • Commitment. You lean in when the moment demands it, without resentment, and you know when to switch off when it does not.
  • Conviction. You care about what is being built, not just the engineering behind it.
  • Character. You make the people around you better, and you put the team and the mission ahead of personal credit. You are someone people want beside them when things get hard.

Preferred:

  • Experience in demanding or secure environments such as defence, government, aerospace or banking
  • Deep expertise in a domain that touches unmanned systems: hardware, software, autonomy, navigation, networking, manufacturing or operations
  • A history of building things end to end and shipping them, not just designing them
  • A rough idea already of what you would want to own here

Benefits

We offer competitive compensation including;

  • Share options vesting over three years
  • Bupa private medical insurance
  • 6% employer pension contribution
  • 25 days leave plus bank holidays
  • Enhanced mat/pat leave
  • Enterprise level AI tooling
  • Relocation support/home office budget

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
