The posting

At Catalyst, geology sits at the core of our operational success. This is an operations-focused role embedded within our underground mine, working closely with mining and technical services to drive safe and predictable production outcomes.

Our deposits are technically complex and require disciplined interpretation, detailed modelling and strong collaboration on the ground. While we operate a consistent underground mining method, variability within our ore bodies demands sharp geological thinking and attention to detail.

Our resource definition and grade control programs feed directly into a robust geological model that supports up to six months of planned production. This is a hands-on environment where data quality, geological interpretation and real-time decision-making genuinely matter.

Catalyst Metals Limited is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX code: CYL).

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, the Project Geologist is responsible for the following:

  • Own, coordinate and execute all geology Grade Control modelling and assist with related drilling activities in a proactive, efficient and timely manner.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and coaching to the Mine Geologists and Field Staff
  • Contribute to short, medium and long-term (LOM) mine plans and schedules to ensure the development of optimised mine plans
  • Monitor face and drill sample and assay quality, follow up QAQC issues.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Bachelor of Science, majoring in Geology
  • Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers License – manual license is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the mining industry.
  • Experience in an underground production role and basic resource modelling is essential.
  • Computer literacy – 3D Modelling Software such as Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac and Microsoft Office, Logging software, GIS packages.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
